Hera's p.o.v
Why the hell was Ava acting like nothing had happened between us yesterday.
I went a mile on by calling her a bad mother and wishing for her death. It was cruel of me but she made me feel horrible.
"Honey try some salads." She whispered as she pushed the bowl towards me.
I sighed softly then picked up the bowl.
We sat in the dining room in silence opposite each other.
She shocked me when she came into my bedroom to invite me to dine with her.
There was never a time we sat at the same table to eat. That was in the past, although what shocked me way more than her invitation was the fact that she cooked, yes. She did cook and that gave me a lot of thoughts.
I was about to put some salads on my plate when It hit me.
Were the salads poisoned? It was possible, after all, we weren't the best of friends.
"I'm not hungry." I answered while I put the bowl down.
She widened her eyes for a second then sighed loudly.
"From morning you were cooped up in your room. You must be hungry Hera." She whispered.
"Why are you so fixed on me eating your cooked food?" I asked seriously.
"Because you are hungry." She answered simply.
I couldn't help but sneer.
"I'm not hungry, I'm actually on a slimming diet." I answered then stood up and turned to walk away.
"Hera!" She called on top of her voice startling me.
"Can't we for once act like a loving family?" She asked softly.
I kept quiet for a second then laughed mockingly.
"Loving family you say. But when Dad was alive you wanted nothing to do with neither him nor me Ava. You eat your poisoned food alone. I don't want to die young." I spat then went out of the house with a low sigh.
I walked ahead without caring where I was going. What I needed the most was to be far away from that toxic woman. Moreover, I had no tears left to cry. I wanted to be left the hell alone.
I gazed at the clear sky with a soft sigh then smiled widely.
"You pretty little things, why are you living your bright days shining like a diamond?" I asked softly then quickly turned in fear when I heard someone burst out in laughter behind me.
"Oh sorry, did I scare you?" A tall man who stood a few meters away from me asked softly.
I kept quiet glancing at how far my house was. If he was a serial killer or a rapist would I outrun him?.
"Hey, I'm talking to you." He said a little louder.
I was about to walk past him when he lifted his hands in the air surprising me.
"Okay, it seems I have scared you. I'm sorry for that, just give me a chance to introduce myself before you ran away, please." He said quickly.
"Fine, I'm all ears." I answered then took a step back.
"Thank you, my first name is Matt, definitely not Damon. And my last name is Ronald. I'm just a simple guy in his middle thirties who lives a bit further away from here. I love jogging and exercising every evening. Well, most of the people keep fit for certain reasons, as for me I keep fit for ......wait let start again. I keep fit....."
"So you are from jogging?" I asked cutting him off.
He was getting annoying. How could someone talk so much in just a minute? To make matters worse, to a stranger!.
"Wow, so you can talk?" He asked in an amazed tone.
Dah how stupid was he, he knew nothing about me, and yet he thought of me as dumb.
"No, I can only sing." I answered sarcastically.
He shocked me when he burst out in laughter.
"Nice one." He said between laughter.
He really wasn't okay in the head. His actions were surprising me.
"Then let me admit, you have a beautiful singing voice." He whispered.
I took in a deep breath then released it.
"Has anyone ever told you that you are weird?" I asked seriously.
"No, not really. But I have had some people tell me that I'm pretty handsome and coldly charming to be handled." He answered with a hint of pride in his voice.
I couldn't see his face at all, the only thing I could make out was his height and his built. He was hugely built, but then, someone in his thirties wasn't that "Wow you hot!" in my eyes.
"Yeah right." I answered then walked past him slowly.
"Hey, may I know your name before you go?" He asked loudly.
"Mmmm, I don't think so. Who knows what you truly are. You can be a killer or rapist for all I know." I answered then stopped moving and faced him.
He didn't give off a killer vibe nor rapist, but I just had to voice out my true thoughts.
"You are right not to tell me your name. I might turn out to be a very bad guy who's trying to take advantage of you." He answered surprising me.
"Um.....okay." I answered in hesitation.
"It was nice chatting with you. You see I usually keep to myself most of the time." He muttered under his breath.
"Yeah kidding." I mocked.
"I'm serious. I'm never this friendly to most people. And I talk less at times." He said making me chuckle.
If he thought I was going to believe that, then he was a bigger fool than I thought he was
The guy was talking way too much to be a quiet man.
"Okay, that's good to know sir. Have a nice night and never approach me again." I answered then quickly rushed back home.
"Talk about crazy." I murmured when I reached the door.
"Don't talk to her and just go straight to your room." I said to myself silently while I opened the door and walked in.
I closed and locked the door behind before going upstairs.
Once I was in my room I breathed out a sigh of relief and threw myself on the bed.
My thoughts were still on that crazy guy and how he was acting. I laughed softly thinking back on how he was spitting nonsense.
"For his age, he really is a dumb ass." I whispered under my breath then closed my eyes to rest.
Hera's p.o.v Talk about embarrassing and lame, what was with her!. I glanced at Ava who was driving then rolled my eyes. What exactly did she want from me?. Last night I refused to touch her food and got a little disrespectful, but that didn't seem to faze her. Here she was yet again driving me to my new college like yesterday didn't happen. "You know I could have figured out the way on my own." I whispered under my breath then put my hand on my bag straps which were around my shoulder. "I know but I wanted to give you a ride and have a simple chat with the principal." She answered as I chuckled softly then glanced her way with a cold glare. "What?. Did you fuck him too?" I asked. She quickly stepped on the breaks startling me. "What the hell!" I yelled on top of m
Damon's p.o.v I walked into the principal office with a cold glare. How the fuck was I suppose to breathe with all those female students behind me. They were like fucking bees on honey and that was dead annoying. I looked at the lady who sat opposite the principal coldly then shifted my gaze to the principal himself and moved closer. It was so obvious that she was checking me out. Why did I even expect any lady or woman to be any different? They all were the same and acted that way over someone they felt attracted to or liked. "When will you get rid of the trash behind me as promised!" I spat to the principal seriously. "Can you please refrain from calling the students trash Damon. And you know you are asking for the impossible, no matter what I say or do they
Hera's p.o.v I walked slowly to my locker with a low sigh. I memorized everything that was on the document and that included my class as well as my locker number. I was still nervous and felt kind of lost. "Hey." An annoying voice I had heard earlier called from behind. I turned and faced the guy that had given me a lift. He was smiling and his braces were showing. "Damn it, why the fuck was he in front of me. Was he stalking me by chance?" I asked myself silently. "Are you following me?" I asked seriously. "No, no way, I just thought of helping you find your classroom." He answered creeping me out. "So you were waiting for me to come out of the office?" I asked with a raised brow. "Pshhh what?. No way." He answered with a nervous chuckle.
Damon's p.o.v "What?" I asked in a whisper when her expression turned cold. "Please refrain from talking to me Sir. I want to have a peaceful college life without having any unwanted enemies or occurrences going on." She answered under her breath with emphasis. Ah, so that was the problem. She didn't want to get involved with the trash behind me. I smirked then walked past her without another word. "Unique." Was all I could mutter under my breath before walking into my office. Never was I this impressed over a lady acting that way. While some would be so euphoric over having me talk to them in public, yet she chose to keep away from me. Everytime she proved how unique she was. "Was she taken?" That silent question in my mind ma
Hera P.o.v Bored. I was so freaking bored. Damon's eyes were glued on me while he taught and for some reason that seemed to piss off Sally and her two minions, but what was worse was the fact that I was given a seat next to Sally's hot boyfriend. When Damon asked me to sit in front next to him I couldn't say no. After all, he was my lecturer. A tap on my hand snapped me out of my thoughts. I quickly faced Sally's boyfriend who had a smile across his face. "He just asked you a question." He mouthed out the words. I swallowed hard and slowly lifted my hand and pointed at myself. Was he talking to me?. I didn't want to think much about it but the guy was definitely very popular. The fact that he was dat
Hera's p.o.v I slowly got off the canoe once I was at the shore of the river. I couldn't see Sally nor her friends from where I was and I had no idea what they were planning to do, but I was going to go through with it. I was going to get that damn branch or stick. A cold breeze swept by, causing me to shiver. I was feeling cold and I needed to get this over with as soon as possible. I looked at the tall trees that were rustling ahead with a low sigh. "Which one is better?. A fresh branch from the tree or a stick from the ground?" I asked myself in a whisper. A fresh branch was better proof than a stick right. After all, it was fresh. I walked towards the trees trying to find a much better one that I would easily try to climb.&
Hera's p.o.v Pain. Was the first thing I could feel before blinking a few times and opening my eyes. My head was killing me and I could remember clearly why. When I was being dragged by that animal in the forest I hit my head hard on the rock and passed out. "Wait!. The animal!" I screamed in my head silently and quickly got up to run away when I fell on the ground. I frowned and tried again, this time the sound of a chain stopped me. I slowly went down to my knees and moved my hand to my ankle. My fingers brushed against the cold metal around my foot. I widened my eyes and swallowed hard. No. No way was I chained. &n
Hera's p.o.v ( The Dream ) "Hello," I called out while looking around. My throat was very dry and my head slightly aching, my sculp was burning and my stomach churning. I was walking slowly in the woods which looked deserted, my white dress was slightly torn on my thigh and my hair was tied in a ponytail. I was barefoot and the ground was very cold and slightly wet because of the snow it was covered in. But for some reason, my heart was way calmer in a place I wasn't familiar with. The sky was bright that I could see everything clearly. No animals or birds were in view, just the trees and some weird looking flowers. "W
