"Mom"

"Come on in. It's freezing outside" she shoved him inside and pulled Eva in too. They took off their coats and shoes then moved to the living room where his father was reading a newspaper. Behind him, he heard his mother ask Eva "Are you cold? I've got hot chocolate ready but I'm saving it as dessert. I don't want you to ruin your appetite"

"It's fine. Don't worry about it"

"On the other hand, a shot of tequila will do the trick" he looked over his shoulder, raising an eyebrow at his mother "Fine, we'll give you one too. Once you have a child, forget about eating in peace. He's a grown man but I can't even have a glass of milk in peace"

He snorted "Don't be fooled. Whenever she whips out the tequila, she's planning something. Just don't sign any of the napkins she hands you"

"Shut up"

"That was how I found myself tied to her" his father added not looking up "She notarized the napkin and I had no choice but to marry her"
