What?!

He can't possibly be serious?

I had just signed the contract today!

Where could he possibly want to take me to?

My hands slipped from the dining table. Losing my balance, I twirled before falling to the floor, with my butt.

" Hey! Are you okay? I didn't mean to startle you." My dad said and rushed to me.

He dropped the plates he was holding on the table before crouching to where I was, on the floor.

" It's fine dad, I'm not so hurt anyway." I said, taking his hand and lifting myself up.

" Are you sure?" He asked, looking at me worriedly.

I chuckled and squeezed his hand.

" I'm fine dad, for real." He nodded before pulling out a chair for me.

My father was such a gentleman. My mother must have really enjoyed her marriage with him before her death.

" You returned pretty quick." My dad said once we had settled down for dinner.
