We finalized our agreement and Olivia signed the contact in my presence before we left the bar.

For some reason, after I told her we were going to kiss, she went mute.

Did she have a problem kissing me?

It was just a fake kiss anyway.

“I can drop you off.” I offered once we were out of the bar.

“Why? Do I resume my duties today?” She said, a grin on her face.

And for the first time since we met, I noticed the dimple on both her cheeks.

“No, I didn’t mean it like that.” I said, shaking my head.

“Just kidding. I have my own ride.” She said pointing over to some van.

Wait a damn second.

That?

She owned that?

She called that a ride?

That van looks like it would collapse in the next second.

It took me the whole world not to laugh at her statement.

My ride.

“I know, it’s not so presentable. What matters is that it still moves, right?” She said, probably noticing that I didn’t sit well with her ride.

“Moves? Olivia, you could have an accident with that thing.”
