65. Last week of freedom

"Last week of freedom" Zayed mumbled against Aveline's shoulder, as they cuddled closer in the bed.

They were in Scotland, having a family vacation before taking over the throne and getting themselves involved in the matters of the nation.

"Sometimes it scares the hell out of me" Aveline said, and Zayed tightened his grip around her.

He could understand that. He himself is worried.

Taking over a position he was never prepared for.

"We will go through this together. And together we will be stronger" he said

"I know" Aveline said with a smile

"Are the little monsters asleep?" Zayed asked, dreading the moment they would come beating down their bedroom door.

Aveline chuckled seeing the disgruntled look on her husband's face.

"They are. They were tired as hell after the long journey. Hopefully they will sleep through the night" Aveline said

"Oh I really do hope," Zayed said, making Ava laugh.
