...

Even with my sudden outburst, he only lightly chuckled shaking his head.

"Luna right?" he asked while I nodded, he stretched his hand and took the contract from me,

"It's quite unfortunate that you are not a graduate but you not knowing how to read is the least I expected," he said to my disbelief

"Where in the contract, do you not understand," he said

"Excuse me, sir Maxi..." I paused recollecting my tone and gaze to be on the safe side.

"I can very much read, and I don't have any help understanding what was written, I just, I'm overwhelmed, I have no idea this is what I am coming here to do," I said, the way they both looked at each other scared me

Did I perhaps say what I'm not supposed to say

"If you don't know, why are you here? Why did you think I paid you that amount of money to come here for," I seriously don't even know where to start to be honest, should I just sign the contract and accept this?

This isn't even as bad as what I already imagined, how pathetic to think birthing a child for a man I just met is better.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked me bringing me back to my sense.

"I just need a pen," I said awkwardly shifting the paper back to myself to sign it, I just have to birth a child, after signing the papers I continued to read the contract, now I know why I might not be seeing Macho for a while, the pay is quite huge and I'm sure it most definitely paid off my bills, now anything I do will be a bridge of contract.

"I will have to marry you," his voice said

"Huh?" I panicked "What?"

"Don't act too surprised it's not even real if you just birth a child without marriage my family will call that child illegitimate and I don't want that," he said getting up from the chair

"So I am going to marry you correctly by law and after you help me birth a child we will break the marriage, divorce" he continued, I was supposed to know all this apparently, do I even have a choice to but accept everything, imagine birthing a child and leaving them behind, I would never have accepted that, just the thought of it is heart-wrenching, I know exactly how it is not to have a mother and how embarrassing fathers can be, my father led me to this situation, but today here I am planning ahead to leave a child behind.

"Show her to her room, she seems disoriented," he said annoyed while I rise to follow the young man earlier

"Tomorrow we get married," he said wearing back his glasses and moving back to his desk.

"Is there anything you find hard to understand?" Nathaniel asked while I just smiled awkwardly not even knowing what to say to him.

"Nothing" I lied eventually while he nodded,

"Rest and come down for dinner, somebody will come fetch you for dinner," he said leaving me in front of a door which I assume is my room,

A little hesitant and skeptical but somewhere within lies curiosity, what's in store for me now, slowly I pushed the door open holding my breath in anticipation as if my whole future depends on that room.

A wave of shock followed my disbelief, I took a quick step into the room "What on earth" I held myself from grasping

It's like I have walled into a whole new world, a land of dreams and fantasy, luxury clothed richly in feminity, soft cream, and peach colors, I have always thought I wasn't a fan of soft colors, oh how that seems like a lie now, in the center of the room is a gigantic bed decorated as if it belongs to a queen, the size of this room alone is half of my grandmother's home, my feet carried me to the bathroom and for the first time ever my eyes laid on a jacuzzi, I have heard of him from the rich ladies at the salon and seen them on shows but never seen one in real life, now I have to use one, the size of this bathroom the same as my room back home.

Back in the room, my eyes fell on what seemed like a door and I immediately trailed my hands on it for it to immediately review another room

"What is this?" the words escaped my mouth as I entered, the empty racks signify it is a closet, So a walkin' Closet I guess.

After spending the longest in the shower, the initial excitement that came with the room eventually washed away as reality begin to creep in, I still have no idea how or where to place this whole thing, but as least I am not sold to an organ harvester right? Does this man even know that I was kidnapped into doing this, maybe I should tell him but then again Macho warned me strongly about saying a thing, what should I do? I swear to God I am losing my mind.

A gentle knock on the door immediately made me panic as I slowly walked towards the door

"Hello?" I said coming face-to-face with a young girl dressed in a maid costume, taking a good look at her, she seems close to my age if not the same age.

"Hello Miss," she said giving me a slight bow which made me uncomfortable

"Ma it's time for dinner" Her words took me by surprise, Ma? I have never been addressed as such and it coming from my age mate at that seems very wrong, I nodded awkwardly following the road she pointed at, and as I walked I noticed she was following, maybe we are just heading towards the same place.

Getting to the dinner table, I was greeted with silence, I didn't expect to see him sitting down with the the other young man who I have come to know as Nathaniel, he sat at the far end as the head of the table while Nathaniel sat two seats after, In his hands a cup of what I assume is coffee, he raised his head to look at me and I immediately took a seat but I noticed that the stare lingered, this time not just him but the both of them.

"What are you doing over there?" he asked

"Huh?" I panicked looking around to look at the girl behind me

"Why are you sitting far away?" he asked, not knowing what exactly to answer, I got up and moved up a bit but he appeared more annoyed

"Luuuna" he stretched my name "This is your seat," he said pointing at the chair next to him

Even after hearing him I still took the chair after the one he pointed to, he only raised his brow but continued to drink from the cup he was holding, the girl behind me immediately served the dish into the plate in front of me, I don't know why it took me this long to finally understand that she is a maid but its okay I already figured that my brain cells keep decreasing as the minutes goes by.

Eating felt like a chore, self-conscious of how to act, I can't eat with more than a spoon but they eat like they were specially trained to use cutleries, the moment I looked up our eyes met, but his gaze shifted to clothes since I came with nothing, I didn't have a cloth to change into so I wore the same outfit I came with.

"Give me your number," he said passing his phone to me, I have completely forgotten anything about phones, I was kidnapped without mine, and the fact I recently got it after saving my ass out and now I don't even have it with me anymore.

"I lost my phone," I said while he just stared at me strangely

"Go buy one tomorrow," he said scaring me immediately, I know he supposedly paid me millions but I don't have any of that money.

"Yes sir," I said

"I am not sir" he snarled, I swear everything I do pisses him off, I turned around to catch Nathaniel sneaking in a giggle while munching on his food, perhaps he finds me a joke, non of this is funny to me

"You didn't come with any luggage, Mi lady," Nathaniel said taking me yet again by surprise with the choice of words he used in addressing me

"Luna" I corrected in case he forgot my name by chance, he only smiled still looking at me

"Maybe tomorrow I can take you to your place to grab a few of your things" I don't even know what to say at this point, this just proves they have no idea I was kidnapped and brought here, maybe I shouldn't have signed that document, I should have just said something but what if I am wrong and it backfires though.

"What do you say?" he asked again

"Tomorrow? I thought the marriage is tomorrow" I said trying to change the topic, I need to find another way to afford clothes

"It doesn't take time, just a few minutes at the registry," Mr. Blue Eyes said cleaning his mouth with a towel although all I have seen him eat is the glass of tea or coffee in his hand and his plate untouched.

"Where are you from?" he suddenly asked "I just realized I don't even know and you will soon bare a son for me," he said making my stomach twist, a son? It said a child in the contract.

"I am from the south, the countryside," I said not really wanting to go into details, he nodded as if adding up something in his head

"So how did you end up in the capital, when did you move here?" Nathaniel asked me, what? I had no idea I was in the capital all this while, I knew it, that ride was too long to be just a few towns away, maybe I blacked out because I was sure it was too far away.

I am in the dreamland those women in the salon talked and hyped about and I have no idea.

"I moved a few nights ago," I said truthfully just in case I get asked where I lived when I have no idea of anywhere in the city, the look they gave each other made me uneasy but I have nothing to say to them.

"Did you travel on your own to the city or did you have a family here, or you came here purposely for this?" Nathaniel asked yet again, these questions seem like a setup to me, although Mr blue eyes is pressing his phone I know he is listening as well waiting for my answer, I have nobody here to visit, I didn't even know I was here.

"Uhm" I began uneasily hoping for help but the only thing helping is the food on the table that I began to eat although I have no appetite at all

"In the contract, it says not to bother with each other's personal life," I said, thank God I remembered that part, he immediately looked at me which confirmed he was indeed listening to our conservation.

"Oh, I didn't mean to," Nathaniel said awkwardly.

"Thank you," I said getting up from the table, the fear of being asked another question and the lingering fear in the back of my head, it feels like I am being forced to co-exist and there is nothing I can do, as I walked back to the room my troubled thought accompanied me, what happens tomorrow? Marry this man I just met for money I didn't even get, all this to survive because of a mess my father caused me.

Am I really going to sleep with his man?

(Luna)Just How long has it been? I have long stopped counting. Just kidding, it's been ages and I am no longer pregnant. Max and I were in for a lot of shock when the twins were born.We intentionally never went and asked for the gender but we were sure at the scanning all we saw was one baby. Even without expecting it, we were the happiest. My two beautiful angels, they still look nothing like me though, although Mother assured me they would pick up my features as they grow up. Speaking of Mother, I meant Max's mother, I am still working on the relationship with my mother. It did break me at a point, when I realized I myself was one of a twin. I couldn't remain neutral after learning that I was a twin and sadly she is no more. And both she and my father robbed me of the opportunity to bond with her. Not even once did I get to see her, neither did she know of my existence and you might have guessed who my twin was.... Yes, Lucy. The same Lucy Sabastine was in love with was my tw

(The End)"You love me?" was all I could muster as an overwhelming rush of happiness slowly seeped into my entire body. He was talking but all I could see was his mouth moving as his voice faded. It was an out-of-body experience as I tried to stand still, resisting myself from jumping up and down from joy."Say something please," I heard him say with a wild smile across my face."I don't know what to say" I answered truthfully as my cheeks continued to hit up."So does this change your answer?" he asked, attempting to hold my hands, his hands trembling as I held his sweaty hands. His gaze was mesmerizing. How come I didn't see all of this? It was all in front of me. Perhaps I hold him in such a high place that I think it's not possible for a man like him to feel something like love."You are Nervous," I said as he smiled awkwardly."Perhaps I am," he replied as I looked around again."You prepared all of this with Hervey?" I asked. All this while he went out with Hervey thi

I stood with my jaw on the floor, utterly stunned by the beautifully decorated scene before me. The backyard had been transformed into a romantic haven, with soft fairy lights hanging from the trees, flowers adorning the tables, and a cozy dining area for two set under a canopy.Slowly, my lips curled up into a smile as I took in the breathtaking sight. It was a vision of romance and thoughtfulness that took my breath away. I couldn't believe my eyes."Max?" I called him, taking a step forward looking around. As I tried to process this enchanting setup, my heart raced with anticipation. It felt like a dream, a fantasy brought to life in the most delightful way. The air was filled with a gentle breeze, and the ambiance was so perfect that it seemed almost surreal.Turning to Max, I couldn't contain my excitement. "What's happening?" I asked, my voice filled with a mixture of joy and disbelief. "Did you just set up a date for us in your own backyard?""Our backyard," he corrected, his e

...The sound of birds chirping became clearer as I slowly opened my eyes, I stretched my hand searching for a as I opened my eyes. He wasn't lying beside me.Slowly I rose from bed, scratching my eyes a bit disappointed that Mac wasn't in the room. I sat down watching the clock trying to figure out just for how long I had slept. The door swung open as I peeked forward to see Max enter with his back, a bit confused I watched waiting for him to turn around before I figured out he was carrying with him a tray of food. "Max," I called him with a smile as he approached."You are awake now?" he said, dropping the tray by the side as I looked to see what it was. Oatmeal with fresh berries and nuts."You wanted to surprise you," he said sitting by the bed with a smile on his face, I couldn't stop smiling as I looked at the food."Breakfast in bed?" I asked while he nodded proud of himself."You don't like it? " he asked, his voice carrying a hint of concern as he stared at me. "I made it wi

....I sat beneath a delicate canopy in the garden, surrounded by a riot of vibrant flowers that swayed gently in the breeze. The scent of blooms, sweet and intoxicating, enveloped me in a fragrant embrace. The dappled sunlight filtered through the leaves overhead, casting a warm and comforting glow.It was a serene haven, a sanctuary of nature's beauty. Each flower seemed to tell a story, its petals a canvas of colors that whispered tales of growth and resilience. Bees and butterflies danced from one bloom to another, their delicate movements adding to the garden's lively symphony. As I sat there, my fingers trailed along the soft petals of a nearby blossom, feeling the delicate texture beneath my touch. The world beyond this tranquil space seemed to fade away, leaving me with a profound sense of peace and contentment. The gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze, the chirping of birds in the distance, and the soft hum of nature's chorus became a soothing soundtrack to my thoughts. ...."We can come along," Harrison said as I stood by the door smiling as they all came outside to escort me."No, you are not coming along Harrison," Max said sharply at him while I chuckled."I hope it's a girl," Hervey commented, smiling as she stared at my tummy. Even without mentioning it to her she already knew that I was pregnant. By surprise in Harrison's eyes, it was obvious they knew nothing about it even Cecilia immediately looked at my tummy."Let's go," Max said, holding my hand as he led me to the car."I'm so sorry, I had no idea they were coming," he apologized while I shook my head."No I don't mind, I like them," I said as he frowned. Pouting his lips."They are friends and your family," I said as he nodded."They will stress you, especially Harrison," he said while I smiled."Am not stressed at all I like that they are here, your house is too big and enough to hold in more people, they would be of good company," I said "Am I not a good company?" he asked as I let o
