Chapter 13: The Mall Encounter   

Celestine hailed a taxi and instructed the driver to take him to his home address. Upon arriving, he stepped out of the vehicle and saw Caleb emerging from the gate. Caleb's tone was accusatory as he confronted Celestine, "Why didn't you answer your phone? Mom was worried sick about you."

In a haughty manner, Celestine retorted, "Why are you scolding me? I didn't even know it was you who called."

Caleb rolled his eyes and turned to leave, saying, "I can't be bothered with you."

Celestine immediately pulled out his phone and dialled his mother's number. "Mom, I'm home. Where did you go?"

Margret's voice came through the phone's speaker, "Thank goodness! I'll be right back."

After ending the call, Celestine walked into the house, oblivious to the fact that a girl was hiding and watching him.

Caleb and Celestine were sitting in front of the television when Margret came back home. As soon as they saw her, they stood up and welcomed her with open arms, "Welcome, mommy!"
