Kehlani’s Pov

My heart lurched forward in my chest and bile rose up in my throat. I fought hard to keep it down, breathing in deeply.

“Wedding jitters, it's just wedding jitters. You can't start having cold feet now, Kelly. You can't. You'll be getting married to the love of your life in a few minutes, you can't throw up on your wedding gown.” I gave myself a little pep talk as I paced around in the small room I was in.

“Where the heck is Natalie anyways? She was supposed to be here with me? I'm so nervous that I can barely think.” I muttered to myself but I really couldn't stay alone any longer. I went towards the door, opening it slightly and peeking out. There was no one in the hall, I tiptoed outside and began looking for Natalie. I checked all the rooms but I couldn't find her. Just as I was about to turn back to the little room that I was in, I heard moans coming from my left. I narrowed my eyes because who the heck was having sex on my wedding day?

I really wanted to leave, but curiosity got the best of me as I walked towards them, opening the doors slightly, however, there was no one there. I tilted my head, “It wasn't here?” I turned back, confused and slightly irritated. The sound was faint now, but it was unmistakable. I followed the noise down the hallway, just a few steps away from where I just entered, my heels clicking softly against the marble floor as I tried to stay as quiet as possible. With each step, the moans grew louder, sending a chill of unease down my spine.

Finally, I stopped outside a slightly ajar door at the far end of the corridor. My heart pounded in my chest as the sounds grew clearer. The voice, no, voices, were familiar. All too familiar.

“Oh my gosh, Finn, faster. Oh my gosh!”

Finn? My Finn?

“N… Natalie… You're… You're so much better than your sister when it comes to… Urgh!”

"This isn't happening." I whispered to myself, shaking my head, "It can't be what I think it is." But the familiar voices drifting from inside told me otherwise. Natalie. And him. My fiancé.

I pushed the door open just enough to peek inside, and what I saw made my entire world come crashing down. There they were, tangled together in a mess of sheets, their bodies moving in sync, completely oblivious to the world outside, or to me. I felt like the air had been sucked out of my lungs. My vision blurred with tears as I stumbled back, covering my mouth to muffle the sob that threatened to escape. My mind screamed at me to close the door and walk away, but my feet were frozen in place, rooted to the spot.

“Kehlani!” Natalie’s voice suddenly broke through my trance as she locked eyes with me. She didn't even try to cover herself with the sheets nor did she move from where she was. Her voice made him turn around as well.

My fiancé, however, just stared at me, wide-eyed and frozen, “Kelahni, I can explain…”

“Explain?” I choked out, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and heartbreak, “What exactly do you plan to explain, huh? That you couldn’t wait for our wedding night? That you had to go behind my back with my sister?” My voice cracked, but I forced the words out.

“Kelahni, please, you're overreacting. You don't believe that your husband can be satisfied with only you, do you? That's such a naive form of thinking.” Natalie replied slowly, her hands snaking around Finn's shoulders.

My breath hitched at Natalie’s words, the audacity dripping from her voice like poison, “Overreacting?” I whispered, my voice low and trembling as tears welled in my eyes, “Naive?” I took a step forward, my fists clenching at my sides.

“You’re my sister, Natalie. My sister. And you…” I turned to Finn, who looked like he wished the floor would swallow him whole, “You’re the man I was about to marry.”

Natalie rolled her eyes, leaning lazily back against the pillows as if this were some casual conversation, “Oh, come on, Kelly. Don’t be so dramatic. You’ve always had this irritating ‘perfect little princess’ act going on. You really think Finn was going to stay loyal to that?”

I stared at Natalie in confusion, shocked by the words that she was spewing out of her mouth. This was a girl I did everything for, a girl that I sacrificed my childhood for. And this is how she was going to repay me?

“Kelly…”

“Don't call me that you fucker! Don't! I laid down everything I had for you, Finn! I never held back when it came to you, even if it was to stab myself and drain my body of blood for you, you knew I would do it so how dare you do this to me? How dare you?!”

“Oh shut up, Kehlani, what have you done that other women haven't done before?” Finn's voice suddenly changed, “I was thinking of saving you face previously and letting you leave quietly so we can settle this after we get married but it seems you're not ready to do that, instead, you're here screaming like a banshee? Do you want others to hear? Don't embarrass yourself any further, Kehlani.”

Finn’s words hit me like a slap across the face. My chest tightened as a storm of emotions churned inside me, anger, betrayal, and a pain so deep it made me feel like I was suffocating. I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms as I fought back the tears threatening to spill over again.

“So, that’s it, huh?” I said, my voice low and trembling, “You’re not even sorry. You’re not even trying to pretend this wasn’t deliberate.”

Natalie chuckled softly, as if the situation amused her, “Why should he be sorry? You’ve been delusional, Kelly. Thinking you could keep someone like Finn satisfied. He’s a man, not a puppy you can chain up.”

“Ha… Hahaha. I can finally see you for who you are, Natalie. I can finally see just who the girl I've taken as my sister for so many years is.” I chuckled bitterly, my chest tightening in pain.

“Kehlani, stop being a bitch and go to the altar to wait for me. After we get married, we will talk about this.”

“What? You still expect me to… Are you crazy? Do you have a death wish?!” I yelled at him, my knuckles turning white, “I'll marry you over my dead body!”

“What is happening here?!” My father, Joan, walked in along with my mother, Giselle. Joan had a stern look on his face while my mother instantly glared at me and then walked towards Natalie who pouted and hugged her.

“Didn't you hear me? I asked what was going on here? I could hear your yells from outside, Kehlani, why do you love to embarrass our family so much?”

“I'm the one embarrassing the family? You haven't even heard what happened and you're blaming me already?! I literally caught your daughter and my husband having sex on the day of my wedding and you're blaming me for yelling? Why don't you ask your good daughter how she could sleep with her sister's fiancé on her wedding day?” I screamed, my chest heaving.

The room was silent for a while, my father staring at me with a blank look on his face. Why wasn't he surprised? Any parent would have been surprised to hear what I just said right now.

However, my father merely sighed and said, “Natalie, I told you not to let your sister find out. How could you be so careless?”

“Sorry daddy, I didn't think she'd walk in on us.”

I blinked. Not once, not twice. Did I just hear… Wait… I think my hearing is impaired. Did I just hear what I think I heard?

“Are you saying… This has been going on for a long… And you knew about it?” I trailed off, bile rising in my throat. How could they have known about it without saying anything? How could they have…

“Kehlani, go to the altar and wait for your husband, we will help him freshen up and come to meet you. We will talk about this after your wedding.”

I froze.

Did they… Did they just say I should still get married to the same man whom I caught sleeping with my sister?

Kehlani’s POVThe flash of Finn’s camera still burned behind my eyelids. Noah’s labored breathing filled the silence between us, each exhale a jagged reminder of what Finn was willing to destroy. Finn pocketed his phone, his smile a blade. “Alec’s going to love this. ‘Wife caught in secret rendezvous with ex-lover.’ The tabloids will feast.” “You’re pathetic,” I spat. The ropes bit deeper as I strained against them. “He’ll see through this. He’ll know it’s staged.” “Will he?” Finn crouched, gripping Noah’s hair and yanking his head back. Noah’s eyelids fluttered, a groan escaping his bloodied lips. “How *convenient* that you’re here, alone, with him. How… *intimate*.” “Let him go, Finn. This is between us.” “Us.” He released Noah and stood, circling my chair. “There *is* no ‘us’ until you admit the truth. You belong with *me*. Not with some corporate puppet who married you out of spite.” “Alec’s ten times the man you are.” Finn’s fist slammed into the wall beside my head

Kehlani’s POVThe warehouse door creaked as I pushed it open, the sound echoing through the hollow space. Dust swirled in the dim light filtering through broken windows. My pulse hammered in my throat as I stepped inside, my boots scuffing against the concrete. "Noah?" I called out, my voice bouncing off the walls. Silence. Then—a muffled groan. My breath hitched. I followed the sound, weaving between stacks of crates, my hands clenched into fists. And then I saw him. Noah. Tied to a chair, his head slumped forward, his dark hair matted with sweat and blood. His arms were bound behind him, his skin raw where the ropes bit in. *"Noah!"* I rushed forward, dropping to my knees in front of him. My fingers fumbled with the knots, but they were too tight. "Hey—hey, wake up. It's me. It's Kel." He didn’t stir. I pressed two fingers to his neck, relief flooding me when I felt the steady thrum of his pulse. He was alive. Just unconscious. Okay. Okay. Think. I stood, scann

Kehlani's POV“You should go back to bed,” Alec said, his voice low, yet laced with something more than concern—guilt, maybe.I stood frozen in the middle of the living room, phone still clutched tightly in my hand. My palms were damp with sweat. The words on the screen still echoed in my head: I’m watching you now.“I can’t,” I whispered, not trusting my voice to hold up if I said more.Alec moved closer. “I’ll keep tracking the number. I’ll stay up and work through the night.”I turned to look at him, studying his face. He looked so sure—like if he just clicked the right combination of keys, the answer would appear. But this wasn’t a math problem. It was a nightmare.“Alec…” I swallowed hard. “What if they hurt him again tonight?”“I won’t let that happen,” he replied firmly, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. “I promise you. But you need to rest, Kel. Just for a few hours. You’re running on fumes.”I hated that he was right.I hated that I had no choice.“I’ll try,” I murmur

Kehlani's POVI could barely think. It had been days since Noah went missing, and I felt like I was losing my mind. Sleep was a distant memory, replaced with endless worry and a growing pit of frustration in my stomach. Alec, on the other hand, was buried behind his desk, endlessly combing through files, calls, and whatever else he was doing to track Noah down. But nothing had changed. Noah was still gone. And I was still waiting. When Alec finally returned home that night, his face was lined with exhaustion. He loosened his tie as he walked in, but I didn’t care about how tired he looked. I cared about the fact that he was moving too slowly. That every second wasted was a second Noah spent in some unknown place, alone and afraid.“You’re late.” My voice was sharper than I intended, but I didn’t take it back.Alec sighed, rubbing his forehead before setting his briefcase down. “Kelhani, I told you, I’m doing everything I can.”“That’s the problem!” I snapped. “You keep saying that, bu

Kehlani’s POV The café was sleek and modern, a place filled with professionals chatting over espressos and influencers snapping photos of their lattes. It was exactly the kind of place Natalie would choose—trendy, expensive, and a reflection of the success she loved to flaunt.I spotted her instantly. Seated near the window, she was dressed in a cream-colored designer jumpsuit, her perfectly manicured fingers scrolling through her phone as if she hadn’t a care in the world. Meanwhile, my world was falling apart.I marched up to the table, my heels clicking against the tiled floor. Natalie barely looked up before a smirk tugged at her lips. “Well, well. Look who decided to show up. I was beginning to think you chickened out.”I pulled out the chair opposite her and sat down. “Where is he?”Her brows furrowed in mock confusion. “He? You’ll have to be more specific, Kehlani. I know a lot of ‘he’s.’”I clenched my fists under the table, willing myself to stay calm. “Noah. Did you take hi

Kehlani's POVThe weight of my phone pressed against my palm, my fingers hovering over the call button as my heart pounded in my chest. Every passing second felt like an eternity. Alec had left to search the surrounding areas, the police had already started their investigation, and I—I needed to do something.Taking a deep breath, I scrolled through my contacts and pressed on Natalie’s name. My thumb trembled as I brought the phone to my ear. It rang once. Twice. Three times.“Kehlani?” Natalie’s voice was sharp with surprise. “What’s wrong? It’s late.”I sucked in a breath. “Natalie, I—” My voice cracked. I cleared my throat and tried again. “It’s Noah. He’s missing.”Silence stretched on the other end before she finally spoke, her tone turning cold with urgency. “What do you mean missing?”I gripped the phone tighter. “He was taking a nap. When I went to check on him, he was gone. I searched the house, the backyard, the street—he’s just…gone.”“Oh my god.” There was a rustling soun
