Nario's firm posture shuddered, his lips quavering as blood kept dripping from the side of his head. His neck trembled as he felt the weight of the crown double. Turning to the side, his gaze met his mother's.

Nario nodded, managing

  • THE BLOOD-SILVER MOON (BOUND BY BLOOD AND MOON)   SOMETHING IN THE WATER

Still beneath the healing hall, Welsfar stood in the forbidden zone, calculative and worried at the same time."There was a window, Gryfield. The one that kills the host and the thing growing inside," Welsfar said, using his hand to smack his head."Hmm… you seem to forget other windows: one that births it prematurely, and a window that kills anyone trying to eliminate it," Gryfield responded.Looking at the dark tunnel ahead, water drops hit the hard stone. "Tink…Tink…" Welsfar's eyes pierced through the darkness, his intuition racing speedily."It's not in the healing hall," his eyes still focused on the pitch black tunnel."What?" The other Healer muttered out. "But… but I heard it feeds on your core!""It does," Welsfar said. "But the healing hall is filled with a bunch of sick people. Their cores are weak. The scent masked the cores of those that are healthy, so it couldn't smell them.""The hunt has begun," Welsfar growled through clenched teeth."What do we do?" The Healers who

The crowd erupted in unison as applause spread across the hall.Nario, still maintaining a poised figure, felt his knees getting weak."Ladies and gentlemen, I urge you to wine and dine. Enjoy the rest of the evening," King Regor said, beaming with pride.Immediately the hall got busy, rowdy with chattering as glass cups clinked.Cersei rushed towards Nario abru

For a split second, his face flushed as he turned slowly, seeing who it was. His eyes lit up."Gryfield?" walking into his embrace."Ha…ha… Welsfar, look at you!" Gryfield said, chuckling. Still in the comfort of their embrace, he patted Welsfar's back.Welsfar, basking in the rush of the past, inhaled slowly. Gryfield had always been one prominent figure in his life he couldn't forget."Ohh I see, you joined the elderly," Gryfield winked, pulling Welsfar's white beard. "You grew old fast!" he said as Welsfar burst into laughter."Let's not forget you're the elder here…""Yes! Hmmm… I am. But as I remember, at your age I had not even grown a streak of grey hair. But here you are, this same age, not a strand of green grass left."Welsfar drew back from the clutteredness of the hall. "You've done quite a great job. It's busier than I even remembered."Gryfield's eyes darkened. "Welsfar… There's something…" His gaze fell to the ground, the skin on his face folded onto themselves. Beads o

Mondeigo's head turned from side to side as candle flames flickered, making him squint tightly. Clenching his fists, his limbs jerked as his eyes rolled backwards."What's happening to him?" Agatha asked, shaking Morris's arm vigorously.Morris rose to his feet slowly, his eyes turning white."Eel scales?" he asked, collecting a handful from Vagos. "Eyes…" He muttered, still in a trance. The sight of Vagos giving freshly plucked eagle eyes to Morris made Agatha's skin cold."Ears…" Morris demanded as Vagos gave him fresh rabbit ears.Startled, Agatha hesitated to leave her son. She scurried to the corner where she hid as she watched everything.Morris placed the rabbit's fur, eagle feather, and eel scales around Mondeigo."Mondeigo avantus traskleir, visto alshsdon, Vashmushtoz haseeke, franvs." (Ancient incantations)Vagos, in utter awe, turned to his mother. Seeing the panic in her face, he walked up to her, giving her a reassuring smile as he kissed her forehead."It's going to be

His gaze still focused on the alphabets, his eyes found the royal crest. It was really from the Royal House."Why am I being summoned?" His brows furrowed as he rolled up the tiny scroll. Looking into the large fields, he uttered nothing."What's that, dear?" Agatha had been behind him all this while, finally speaking. "I saw the raven. I thought it was a message for Morris, but I watched as it flew into the fields. So I followed it."Welsfar bit into his lower lip. "It's nothing," he said before storming out of the field.Agatha followed behind him, as a lot of thoughts crossed her mind. In plight to speak but couldn't."Hmm…" she mumbled.Standing in front of the hut, they exchanged glances. Seeing his grip loosen on the scroll, she snatched it as her steps quickened. Dashing into the house, she burst into the room with all her might. Gbim! The door made as she shot it tight behind her. Opening the scroll, she paced around the room."Agatha," Welsfar called from outside before sendin

Laura panicked, hurriedly rushing her tiny dagger through her pockets as a clean cut crossed her thighs."Ahh…" she yelped."Clink…Clanks…" The dagger dropped to the ground."What was that?" King Snow asked curiously.Maester Gryfield's eyes suddenly sank into its sockets as horror crossed his mind."Someone's in there," he said. "Quickly, go check who it is. Take this, it's garlic. He's a vampire. The smell of garlic will put him still as they despise it." He gave the garlic to a middle-aged healer."Yes, Maester Gryfield," the middle-aged healer said before leaving.King Snow followed behind the healer, briskly, his pace was fast."My king," Gryfield called out. "You seem quite restless.""I'm fine," he replied to Gryfield. But deep down within himself, he feared the horror of what was to come. "What if…" but his mind became shallow as his brain went blank from the sight before him.Frozen, he felt his body temperature increase as his heart raced louder than ever. His mouth fell wid
