Chapter 9 Trust

Angelica Montez 

Two days later, one of the police came and finally opened the prison door letting me out, they made me sign some papers and I was finally free to leave as for the person that came to my rescue, I got outside and was surprised to see my father standing with Alexandre, 

“Dear” My father called and rushed towards me, 

“Are you okay dear, hope they didn't make things hard for you, I'm sorry I got the news late, I could have come long ago but your husband was just telling me about it it today” 

“I'm okay father you don't have to worry about me” 

“Let me drop you off at home okay?”

“Don't worry Mr Montez I'll handle that”

“Alright, dear I'll call you later to check on you okay?”

“Thank you father, drive safely” I waved at him and watched as he drove off, as soon as my father's car left, I sighed cause I've been acting strong so my father would not be worried about me, I haven't eaten in the past two days, no food nor food and the fact that I do not have any strength in me and can barely walk, but I rather die walking on the road than to enter into Alexandre's car.

“Come on I'll drop you off at home” He said to me and opened the car door, but I ignored him and began staggering my way out even though I could barely walk.

“Fine at least hear me out okay” He said blocking my part, 

“I wasn't the one that called the cops on you, it was my girlfriend Ella, and I tried stopping her but she wouldn't listen, I had to plead with the police to grant you discharge on bail cause Ella’s uncle is the one in charge her, I tried getting you out the first day but they refused, okay it's not my fault” 

“Alright, can you now move out of the way I need to find my way home”

“But I'm here to take you home you don't have to walk back home”

“Isn't that what you're good at, making me walk back home?”

“Fine, I accept I did it in the past but can we put that behind us, and get you home first” 

I scoff and looked at him, 

“Are you worried about me? Why, I'm not even your girlfriend, you don't have to be worried about me, besides your girlfriend is going to think another think if she sees the both of us together, she's probably going to make up another lie who knows what she's going to do this time, so please get out of the way I need to leave” 

“I can't let you walk back like this”

“Why? It's not like anyone knows that I'm legally married to you, besides whatever we have it's just fake you can destroy it whenever you want so stop acting like you care about me cause nobody cares about me not you not anybody, excuse me'' I used the last strength in me to push him out of the way and before he could stop me I got into the nearest bus, 

Right before him, the bus drove away, I was sitting close to the window so I laid my head on the window as tears rolling down my eyes, why is my life getting harder by the day, I was even arrested and spent days in the prison something that would never happen if my mother was alive, how did my life change so much,

I ended up spending half of the day in the bus cause I stayed in the bus till it got to the last bus stop which was completely far from home, I ended up waiting for another bus which took me back home and by the time I got home it was almost dark, I walked into the house and Alexandre was sitting down, as soon as he saw me he stood up immediately,

“Fuck I've been waiting all day for you, where have you been?” 

I ignored him and began to walk upstairs, but he grabbed my hand stopping me

“I ordered food, it's already in the dining room, do you want to wash up and come down later or do you want to eat now?”

I gently untangle his hand from mine, and without saying anything to him I went upstairs 

“Come on how long are you going to keep ignoring me” I didn't say anything to him till i got into my room and slammed the door close, I went straight into the bathroom, turned on the shower and burst into tears, I don't know for how long that I cried but I spent so much time in the show and by the time I came out I had no more tears left for me to cry. I was so hungry so I left my room but I was surprised to see Alexandre standing in front of my room,

“Can we now talk please” 

I went downstairs and the food he talked about earlier was still there, I sat down and began devouring the food while he stared at me with mouths wide open, 

“Look I'm sorry for judging you wrong, I know I love my girlfriend but I believe she can be too much sometimes, I know you can also be crazy but I don't think you're the type of person to pour her hot water, for the past two days I've thought hard about it and I know you can't possibly do that to her” 

I was finally done eating, I carried the plate I to the kitchen while Alexandre still followed me, 

“Come on I'm sorry, at least talk to me” 

“What's the point of me talking to you, it's not like you can do what happened” 

“Fuck you finally said something” He sighed deeply, 

“What do you want from me, remember the rules you gave me, not to come close while speaking to you, don't you think you're the one breaking that rule right now?”

“Ehat you said about my girlfriend cheating on me, I'm going to take it serious from now on, and if it turned out to be true then I promise to keep to our deal” 

I looked at him, wondering why he's so serious 

“Why are you saying this now?”

“Cause I believe you cannot hurt anybody, so I want to believe you this one time”
