Chapter 8 The cops

I was taking a nap on the couch in the living room when I began to hear sounds at first I thought it was from my dream but when I opened my eyes I saw Alexandre and his girlfriend holding hands as they walk upstairs, I sighed and turned towards the other side of the couch and continued my sleep.

I woke up later and it was now dark, I looked at the time hanging on the wall and it say 8PM, which means I've been sleeping for a very long time, and right now I'm tired week and hungry, I dragged my lazy legs to the kitchen and honestly I don't even have the strength to make anything I just want to fix something quick for myself then go back upstairs to my room and continue my sleep. 

I was searching through the fridge for what to eat and I saw bread and decided to make avocado sour cream, I brought out the bread and placed it on the counter then grab two avocados and egg as well, I was setting up everything when I heard footsteps behind me, but I didn't bother to check out who it is so I went ahead with what I was doing 

“Looks like someone is working very hard on the kitchen when, poor you no matter what you do, he's never going to look at your face as long as I'm here” 

I wanted to mind my business but this girl keeps on messing with me, what the hell is her problem 

“You know as a contracted wife you're supposed to be invisible. Why am I seeing you all around this house whenever I'm here? No matter what you do Alexandre is never going to look at you, do you know why? Cause he's madly in love with me, and he do whatever I tells him to do”

I kept on doing what I was doing completely ignoring her, I went on to boil my eggs while I smash my avocado,

She came and stood beside me since she wasn't getting any reaction from me, the bitch is definitely asking for trouble 

“Listen if I were you I would take my things and leave, cause very soon when this little contract of yours is over, Alexandre is going to throw you out on the street where you belong” 

“Street?” I smirked and pause, 

“That word you used on me right now don't you think it fits you better?” I smile, 

“What do you mean by that?” She frown

“Listen just a little bit of advice from me to you, enjoy it while it lasts cause your little games are about to come to an end, very soon it's going to be me in his arms while you can never get a glimpse of him ever again” 

“What are you planning…..?” She groaned gritting her teeth, 

“Nothing, does it look like I'm planning anything, I was here minding my business when you came here trying to piss me off, it's not my fault you ended up being the one that's pissed” I shrugged, at this point my egg was boiling so hot so I figured out it was ready, I was about the bring down the pot when she suddenly pushed my hand and put hers, the hot boiling water suddenly poured on her

“Ahhhhhhhh….!” She creamed and honestly even though I was a little bit shocked, I was not surprised by her action cause this is not the first time she's doing something like this, 

“Babe what's wrong?” Alexandre rushed into the room and immediately he saw her hand which was becoming swollen from the burnt, he turned to me in anger

“Really, what have you done to her?!” 

I didn't allow him to finish when I landed a slap on his face, shocking both him and his girlfriend, 

“What did you just do?!” She yelled and I was about to slap her when Alexandre blocked her and I ended up slapping him again for the second time, 

“Just because I'm here doesn't mean I'm going to tolerate both of your bullshit, you're dating a psycho who would go to any length to frame others, but let me remind the both of you that I'm not some trash that you treat as you want, I'm my mother's daughter and I'll not hesitate to reset your brains with a spatula if needed, now listen Alexandre I was here minding my business and cooking my dinner, your girlfriend walked in here and started picking a fight with me, and she ended up scalding herself cause she want to frame me up, I'm not going to ask you to advise her but the next time she tries this with me I'll make sure she will look in the mirror again for the rest of her life” 

“Babe she's crazy, she's crazy, she's a bitch!” She continued to yell, I ignored her as I turned and continue making my avocado sour cream, and when I didn't hear anything anymore I turned and they were gone, at first I wanted to eat outside but because I don't want to meet those annoying couple again, I sat on the kitchen counter enjoying my dinner, 

My mind wandered back to when I was working in the Montez Group Of Company after my mother died, everything was going so well, my father was missing my mother every single day, I was afraid of him going into depression at some point and then because my mother's best friend was close to us I convinced my father to marry her, and that was my biggest mistake, and her daughter Regina is like a curse to me cause why is she living a lavish lifestyle and spending money on men, but soon everything is going to end, I'm going to chase them far away and back to wherever they belong. 

“Hey” I heard a familiar voice and look up to see Alexandre with a pack of ice,

I sighed and came down from the counter, I was about to leave when he suddenly grabbed my hand, 

“Did you really do that to my girl” 

I scoff and fling his hand away as I walked out of the kitchen in anger, I met the bitch in the living room and a doctor was attending to her wounds, she gave me a victorious smirk but as I was about to make my way upstairs, 

“Mam, are you miss Angelica?” 

I turned and was surprised to see five police officers, I looked at Alexandre who was not working into the living room and he has no expression on his face, I glance at his girlfriend and she was smirking 

“Officer she's Angelica” The bitch answered and the female officer walked up to me with handcuffs in her hand, 

“You're under arrest ma, and you have the right to remain silenced cause anything you say on do will be used against you in the court of law” 

My gaze was on Alexandre the whole time, he really went and called the cops on me?

I didn't say anything I calmly followed the cops as they took me out of the house,
