I groaned in annoyance as the sunrays falling on my face forced me to wake up. I hardly got time to rest during week days and the day was the only day when I could get some sleep and spend time with my family.

I patted the space beside me to pull Emma closer to me but much to my dismay, the space was cold and empty. She had already woken up.

"I hate mornings." I sat straight on my bed and ran my fingers through my messy hairs. I winced when I felt pain on my back.

I glanced at the time, it showed seven fifteen in the morning. I didn't intend to wake up this early but I wasn't going to catch sleep again.
