She moved quickly, pulling clothes from drawers, shoving them into her bag without folding. Her hands shook, but she didn’t stop.

Layla’s voice kept echoing in her head.

‘As long as they’re truly sorry… and they choose to do the right thing at the end.’

Elena’s chest tightened.She looked at the bag again… at the document inside it.
