Kathy stared at Mason. She was surprised that he was begging to be her friend. This was the same person who had said she was too ugly in the past.

She could not understand what made him change his mind. But now that he was begging her, how could she bring herself to say no? She nodded and replied, "Alright, fine, I'll be friends with you."
