"Reil! What did he say?" Emiem whispered while I was closing the front door in the cottage.
"Who?" I whispered back.
"Blake." She whispered, only air came out of her mouth.
"I didn't tell him." I twisted the key twice the time and pulled the door to confirm whether it was locked tightly.
"You what?" She practically yelled, her eyes widen like a panda.
"Shhh! don’t shout!!" I scolded her
"Blake! It's too much. He is my uncle. You had to obey him, at least you have heard what he wanted to talk to you. What the hell is your problem, huh?" I asked, pulling my hair out of frustrations. "I don't want to talk with him." He clenched his jaw, his fist was so tight as he would break the table in one bash, the vein in his neck popped out angrily."Then don't talk to me either." I walked past him. Is he a human or a robot? No feelings, no emotions and no value for other's feelings.I wiped my tears and entered one of the spare room which is opposite to mine and locked myself there. The room was fully dust
When Reil was eight, she wore a navy blue mermaid gown with 3' high heels to impress her ultimate crush, Federick. Today is his birthday and they were very late to the party, it's all because of Reil. She was very confused to select her dress that partially ate their time and in additionally she took a great time to comb her hair and eventually tried French braid on her blonde hair but she was blaming her dad for the slow driving despite she knows there is high traffic in Texas especially in the evening. Her dad was silent throughout the entire driving because he could sense something bothering her daughter, but he wished her daughter would be told him soon before it hurts his daughter's, little heart.
"Reil, will you marry me?" Blake kneeled and asked stretching his right hand that's holding a ring, an engagement ring. How did he do that? From where he got the ring?"But Blake?!" I was frozen on my spot unable to utter any words as the moment felt like I was left on Mount Everest to be freeze alone."Reil. It's my dream." Inhaling deeply he asked once again, "Will you marry me?" Without my knowledge, my head shook up and down which caused a huge grin to appear on his face."Thank you, dear." He slipped the ring to my left finger before taking me into his warm embrace.
Life is too short like a bush that would bloom in the morning, some may throw a vigorous smile in the direction of the sun, some may take a good bath to chill down their throbbing root whenever the rain flows, some would cry when the heavy wind caresses their cheeks a bit harsh but would decades in the evening like it didn't bloom in the first place. And the next morning another will replace the old bush not aware of it won't remain stable for a day. In between these life circles we human lives our life filling our hearts full of wrath, revenge, anger, jealousy, anguish, etc, etc even I can't figure out whatever they would keep on their plate. But one thing is sure. There is no love remains on their plate. For which we failed to notice whatever losses we have faced until a day knocks on our door, the day of our last breath releases from the earth that we can't retrieve any sin we had committed in the past and can't amend all our mis
"What happened, my wifey?" Blake stroked my cheeks while I was standing there in double-minded not knowing whether to tell him the incidents or not.By God's grace, he didn't ask anything about that night and if I tell him about the syringe and Rakesh's new revelation, he definitely pulls me to the end until I tell him why did I go to that place without his concern. Rakesh is his best friend, at least I can say he cares for him. So telling him a piece of news about our new discovery would cause damage to their friendship. "Nothing...I was just worried about Emiem. She has been crying for a while." I lied. Plea
"I know whatever you told me on that day was a complete lie. I don't want to push your buttons but remember one thing that I'm here to listen to your heart." Blake's sudden outburst caused my heartbeat to accelerate fast. Even though I was shivering inside I masked my face with a fake smile and said, "You must have misunderstood me." I didn't meet his gaze as I felt he was looking in my direction, his intense stare drilled a hole in the back of my head when I turned around to put my phone in the charger. Seconds later I heard the cracking sound of a chair that gave me a clue that he has left his work whatever he was doing on his laptop just to approach my direction. "Look at me." He grabbed my hand and made me turn t
I gave him my best puppy dog face to extinguish his anger. Huh! He was neither angry nor sad. He was just worried about me. That's all but he shows his any kind of affection in the form of anger whether it be love, guilt, or sad, that I learned on another day when we were trapped inside that wrecked buildings where he carried me in his arms just because I was so weak to walk by myself. "It will not work." He sounds unsure. Hahaha... it affected him. "Please... please... please.." I pouted my lips making my face more innocent than it ever would be. "Reil. I know you are very passionate about your work but what
One week has passed since my so-called injured leg cured completely but Blake was so adamant to accept the fact. For him, the incidents happened just a while ago, as well the wound was fresh as a Kashmiri apple. I even run around our room to let him know I'm completely alright but that rod head was not even convinced a bit. After explaining my involvement in the project, mainly in my stable state, he literally permitted me to go to the centre. That's how I ended up in my cabin pacing back and forth while reading the book "The Hidden Secrets" for the nth time. The memory was so fresh when Rakesh gave me this book just to get a credit but, instead, he got a heavy hit on his head.
