LOGINI took a deep breath, looking around what had been my bedroom for the last twenty four years.
The candy apple red walls were now bare from the many pictures, that hung there just hours ago, being taken down. The white book shelves were half empty and my desk too, with just my old lamp. My bed was made nicely, the raspberry colored pillows perfectly stacked and my white knitted blanket folded at the end of the bed. The plush carpet was freshly vacuumed, looking almost new. After opening up my windows, I walked downstairs, meeting my dads at the front door. The looks that they were portraying, was different to the vibe I was getting from them. They both had weak smiles on their faces as we stood across from each other. I knew the smiles were fake, due to the twitching of their lips, every few seconds. My own smile was not that real either. In reality, I was scared; scared of what Remy would think about this. Scared of this big change in my life, and its effects. I felt selfish and guilty for not considering the changes it would bring up in other peoples lives. Big tears rolled down my cheeks, when my dads pulled me in for a much needed group hug. These two men were always the most important people in my life. I was grateful that I had the opportunity to grow up in such a loving home. It didn't matter to them that I was human or the fact that I was from different race. They had chosen me and cared for me as if I were their own. "We love you and you are always welcome here, Genevieve. Never forget that." Spencer, spoke in a hushed voice. "I love you too!" I whispered, hugging them tighter. I stepped out of the black SUV, my legs weak. I felt sick to my stomach and was sure this was due to my nerves being all over the place. My feet were wobbly on the cement path, as I made my way to the holding cells. I had on been down here once as a kid, when Luke and I were hiding from Dean. The walls were made out of brick, giving off a cold and dark feel. It was dark besides the flickering lights attached to the ceiling, adding to the scary vibe Goosebumps raised on my skin from the cold air. I walked to the last cell before turning the latch on the metal door. The sight in front of me, shocked me momentarily. I made my way over to him, ignoring his black eyes and hugged his large form. Remy let out a pain grunt before wrapping his arms around me. I wanted to let him go but first needed to ensure myself that he was still alive and OK. I stood there, hugging his warm shirtless torso, while he held me tightly to him. I heard his heart beating loudly in his chest. It was much slower than that of humans, but it was there. I took a step back, but not really leaving his arms, sense he had a hand on my cheek and the other on my hip. "I'm glad they didn't hurt you." Remy breathed out, looking into my eyes. How now dark blue ones would flicker a glowing blue every few seconds. "I'm glad they didn't kill you." I admitted, a weak smile on my face. I wasn't sure what to say next or if I should say something. I was never good with words. I hoped Remy would say something soon, to get rid of the silence. My wish was heard when Remy opened his mouth, but his words were unexpected. "You're getting sick, Genevieve." He concluded, bringing his hand up to my forehead "What do you mean? Like how do you know?" I asked curious. I didn't feel sick; a little out of it but that was expected right? It's not everyday you meet your childhood nightmare and find out he is your soul Mattel. Then he gets shot and nearly dies, to which you pack up your stuff and decide to leave your old life behind to live a new one with him. The cell door rattled from being knocked on harshly. "Genevieve, you two have to leave. Luke will escort you to the ends of Red Moon territory." Alpha Hall spoke in a strict voice, from behind the door., followed by his footsteps leaving. "Genevieve, you two have to leave. Luke will escort you to the ends of Red Moon territory." Alpha Hall spoke in a strict voice, from behind the door, followed by his footsteps leaving. I turned away, walking to the door to leave, but Remy spun me around. "What are you doing? The Alpha said we need-" I started to state. "We." Remy grinned. "You didn't sleep last night because you choose to come with me. Am I right, Genevieve?" I didn't even ask how he knew l didn't get a second of sleep, but nodded anyway. His grin made him look younger and ... sexier. I looked away shyly because I didn't know if he could sense my feelings towards him. Who wouldn't get turned on by his handsome face, muscular body, which I might add was bare, and that boyish grin. Remy slid his fingers from my cheek to my chin and gently lifted my face to his. His eyes glowed a bright blue as he stared at me intently. I held my breath as the distance between the two of us slowly disappeared. I was unsure if l should be feeling like this so soon. I closed my eyes when his face was inches from mine. I could feel my heartbeat increase with each passing second. His rough lips met mine, moving slowly but sweetly against mine. I moved my hands up to his neck, pulling him closer to me. A quiet moan erupted from me when Remy's tongue swept over my lips. He gripped my sides, pulling my body swiftly against his own. He surprised me by nipping at my bottom lip, teasing me in the process. I could feel my knees get weak, bound to buckle from under me. I moaned against his mouth, this time loudly, when his hands moved from my sides down and over to my back side. God he knew how to turn me on. Another loud knock on the door, broke us apart from our first real kiss. I could practically see Alpha Hall burning holes through the door with his dark eyes. We pulled from another, his warm breath fanning against my tingling lips. "We should go." Remy smiled, his eyes not leaving mine. I was lost for words. That kiss set a fire off within me. I couldn't even form a small smile on my face. Ijust nodded my head weakly, reaching up to my tingling lips with my fingers. Remy smiled once more, before taking my hand and tugging me towards the door."Genevieve, this is my mother Caroline. Caroline this is Genevieve Van Acker, a very close friend." I shook the tall woman's hand, though I was confused as to why he introduced me as his 'close friend'. His face revealed nothing but I'm sure he felt my confusion through our mate bond. He gave me a quick glance, a small smile on his face before he looked back to his mother. "Where is Julian?" Remy asked his mother after placing a chaste kiss on her cheek. "The Bakery, MJ wasn't feeling to good this morning so we stayed home." Caroline replied, pushing her blonde hair behind her ear. The worry on her face was not be unseen. "I'll go check on her. Is Lily upstairs with her?" Caroline gave a small nod, before voicing out a 'yes'. "I'll be back in just a sec, OK?" I fought against a grin as Remy looked at me with big puppy eyes, like he was asking for my permission. "Sure, I'll stay down here with you if that's OK?" I said, directing the last part at Caroline, who simply smiled. Re
I stood in the bathroom wrapped in a blue towel, brushing my wet hair, when I heard footsteps coming from the other side of the door. I gripped the brush tightly, my body frozen with fear. I held my breath as the footsteps neared towards the bathroom door. I bit the inside of my cheek, praying it was just Remy. The room fell silent, as the footsteps stopped right outside the door. The doorknob rattled before it fell silent again."Genevieve, it's just me. I got you some clothes." He didn't sound angered anymore but stressed."Thank you." I mumbled quietly, picking at the edge of the blue towel. I wasn't mad at him. I was hurt. I heard an almost silent sigh escape his mouth. "I'll just leave them by the door." I heard his footsteps retreat back into the bedroom.I glanced in the slightly fogged mirror, a lone tear rolled done my cheek. I had always been an emotional person. I threw my hair up in a bun and took one last glance in the mirror, before unlocking the door and taking the bag
I could officially cross off free falling from my bucket list. The jump out the window from the third story was high and overall dangerous, yet not for Remy, who brought us safely onto the ground. The shattered glass from the window crushed under our weight as Remy steadied his footing on the concrete. The rush of wind from the fall, had ruffled up my shoulder length hair that now covered my face. Remy pushed back the hair so he could see my face, before pressing his lips hard against mine. Before the kiss could be deepened, Remy hitched me up higher on his waist afterwards sprinting with vampire speed into the nearby alley. By now it was already dark outside and the flickering light from the only lamp post on the corner was all too cliche.Remy released my thighs, letting me slide of the front of his body. With a hand on my shoulder he gently pushed me back to the darkest corner in the alley. He turned around with speed, hunching over in the process, an earth shattering growl release
My eyes widened on their own account before glancing down at his plump, naturally pink lips. My mouth went dry at the thought of kissing him as my palms became sweaty and my heart pounded against my chest. It wasn't like I hadn't kissed him before or didn't want to, it was more the fact of what one kiss from him could lead to. I mean I had to think logically; I was in a nice hotel room, sitting in bed with a shirtless beast, who expected me to kiss him for every answer he gave me. And sense I had a lot of questions to ask, that would mean a lot of kisses. His warm hand on my cheek brought me out of my mental conversation with myself. I took notice that we were now closer than I thought. He hadn't said anything but instead looked at me with a playful smirk carved on his face. The way he had his left eyebrow raised made him even better looking than he already was. I let out a small breath before pulling out of his loose grip, the loss of his body heat not going unnoticed by me. "I do
My heart was pounding in my chest and the air got stuck in my lungs. My head was swarming with questions as I replayed his words again. Will you be good for mommy and daddy and take your medicine? I'll be home really soon. I love you.He had a kid, a daughter to be exact. A cute little girl, yet she wasn't our kid. She was created from Remy and another woman, who wasn't me. Who was her mother and where was she? At least if she was a bitch I could hate her easily. Did all three of them live together? Could I handle him already having a family? Did he expect me to take this information with a smile? I wouldn't be the side chick nor did I come with him to stay hidden. I needed time to think about all of this.I could faintly hear as the girl said her goodbyes before Remy ended the call. I tried creeping back in to the room silently but my body had other plans. I felt the familiar scratchy feeling in the back of my throat just as I brought my hand over my mouth, covering the oncoming coug
So far the five hour drive had been silent, only the occasional cough that came from me. I didn't know if I had my expectations too high or if I was just stressed from the last forty eight hours. But the silence was awkward and the car felt like it was getting smaller by the mile. It almost felt like this was an arranged marriage and I was the bride, who barely knew her husband and was forced to move into his mansion after the wedding. I knew that wasn't the current situation I was in, yet that's kind of how felt. But this was my choice and I wasn't one to change her mind so quickly. After the almost kiss is where the awkwardness started. I hoped I hadn't hurt his feeling by what I said, but it had been the truth. I was human, born a human, grew up as a human and would die as a human. That meaning | wanted to continue living as a human, like I had before. I never expected to have a mate or be the mate of someone else and it wasn't something I really wanted either. I wasn't against i
