Chapter 49: Six Days Trial

The driver tensed up, but the man sitting in the back seat was relaxed, he handed a plastic I.D card to the driver.

The soldier became anxious and grabbed his rifle, quietly calculating timely to pull the trigger.

The driver handed an I.D card to the soldier, the moment he saw the I.D his face changed, and he started shivering in fright.

“I am sorry, sir, drive ahead” he granted them entrance exhaling in a deep breath.

The driver received the I.D card with a smug smile and drove away, a few soldiers standing guard looked at their comrade with askance looks.

“What is the matter?” one of them asked.

“I nearly offended a big shot” he lamented, swatting beads of sweat on his forehead, he is just a recruit.

The man wearing a hat parked his car at an abandoned clubhouse, he came out and opened the car booth.

He lifted Mayor Lycan from the car's booth, and lay him on the ground, he watched him intently.

And crouched looking at him, “Lucy, this is your son” he said softly and stood on his fee
