PROLOGUE

Year 2008. A little girl was kidnapped by a group of researchers for an inhumane experiment. The abduction made noise in the city and alarmed the townspeople. No one knew what the child had suffered at the hands of those cruel scientists.

Meanwhile, the little girl lay on the operating bed after a man in a scrub suit injected an unknown drug which eventually caused her to lose her sanity. A few moments later, she was transferred to another room.

The room was surreal with its use of advanced technology, yet also frightening; its walls were gray, wide, and equipped with machines; wires hung on the ceiling, and in the center of the room stood a circular glass wall enclosing a bed. On the bed lay the child. Metallic bands locked both of the girls' hands and feet.

The child was confused as tears started to form in her eyes. One of the operators glanced at her for the last time. Then they imprinted tattoos on her young body.

Her eyes grew wide open, her pupils dilated and constricted as her back arched slightly. She was crying and laughing at the same time. Her deafening roars of insanity echoed across the room. Men in scrubs decided to inject her with sleeping pills, then her thoughts were filled with nightmares.

The operation lasted for two hours. The lady operator named Amanda took a look at the child before finally leaving the child sleeping.

Morning came and everyone was greeted by an unexpected explosion. Their building was shattered into pieces. The explosions continued nonstop until everything was destroyed. A fire spread rapidly and there were no other survivors.

Except for one.

A little girl walked out of the destructed building. Her youthful white dress turned red with blood. Chains were still on her wrists and feet revealing the pain she had gone through.

She was as numb as a zombie, weak and emotionless. But she’s still a kid, trying to reach home, longing for her family. People stared at her like she was some sort of freak.

No one knew how she managed to reach their home.

Her worried mother kept looking for her for days until she appeared at the front gate. She hurriedly walked towards the girl and caught her just in time when she collapsed.

Five months have passed, but the girl is still in a comatose state. Her body is responding weirdly, which the doctors could not comprehend.

All the people who knew about her had one thing in mind: what did they do to her?
