MERILYN

“Kairen! What is the meaning…” My feet came to a halt, my voice trailing off as I stared at the men sitting around the table.

So I lost my senses for a second and forgot that the man I came all the way here to confront was actually a King and right now, his generals and subjects were glaring daggers at me like I just walked in on a top secret conversation.

I chuckled nervously, “Uhm, I…I’m so sorry. Please, c-carry on.”

“Get out.” Kairen ordered and I didn't even need to be told twic

  • THE LYCAN KING’S STOLEN MATE.   Chapter 166

THIRD PERSON'S POVMerilyn stood in the hallway. The same one she'd left. But it wasn't the same.Blood…a great deal of it wafted through her nose. She slammed one hand over her nose as she lurched forward, almost puking. Her hands shook as she slowly turned."Ah!" A loud scream tore from her throat when she saw the torn-up body lying on the floor, decapitated. But she recognized the dress and the bloody mark on her wrist. Lorelei.Merilyn felt vibrations beneath her feet and instantly her legs moved without thinking. As she darted around the corner, the once beautiful hallway was now a mess.Broken tables and chairs, food scattered everywhere, a never-ending trail of blood everywhere but no body.Merilyn swallowed as she walked closer, the place was…quiet. Empty. She looked around, but couldn't see a single soul. But the hair at the back of her neck stood at alert, goosebumps appeared on her skin, her heart raced as his scent wafted into her nose.A low growl echoed from behind her.

  • THE LYCAN KING’S STOLEN MATE.   Chapter 165

THIRD PERSON'S POVMerilyn felt the earth beneath her feet shift, and slowly her eyes opened as she looked around. One hand shot to her mouth while the other shot to her belly. She was in the same room. The same room she'd been trying to find ever since she came back.Without thinking, her legs moved forward. Everything was still the same, but this time she could smell the pungent air, the thick smell of death and decay that clung to the air and her skin. Her eyes watered from the smell and she almost vomited. How did anyone survive in these conditions? As she moved through the dark room, her hand stretched out, a small ball of light floated over her palm, illuminating the room.Merilyn gasped when she saw the unmoving bodies lying on the floor, leaning into each other for whatever support the other could provide. She didn't know them, couldn't recognize these people, but it pulled at something in her heart.Merilyn could only pray that her sister was still alive. She had to be. How e

  • THE LYCAN KING’S STOLEN MATE.   Chapter 164

THIRD PERSON'S POVEver since Merilyn's pregnancy had been announced, everyone in the castle had become Merilyn's private bodyguards based on the Alpha King's orders. No matter where she went, Merilyn was never allowed to go anywhere alone. Someone had to be at her side at all times.Merilyn hadn't realized how serious her mate was until the first time she had to go to the toilet and he'd left his meeting just to accompany her."You can't do this forever." She argued and Kairen smirked."Try me."It had been a few weeks since then and Kairen as well as everyone in the castle had followed that rule like a religion.Every meal she had, down to the slightest grape, was tested and tasted for poison by her mate."If there's truly poison in them, you'd be dead.""Rather I die than you lose our baby."Merilyn tried to assure him that she had the heartstone now and was fully equipped to protect their child. Her magic made their baby survive as well, no attack could harm her or their unborn ki

  • THE LYCAN KING’S STOLEN MATE.   Chapter 163

THIRD PERSON'S POVLorelei stared at the letter in her hands. A general announcement of the King's Birthday celebration had been dispersed all over the Lycan Kingdom. Every respectable house, family and pack had been invited.Everyone except the Tyrons. The edge of the paper crumbled under Lorelei's tight hold, her hand shook as a ragged breath escaped her lips."I believe it goes without saying that this is all your fault." Alpha Ashnok stared at his daughter with half-lidded eyes of nonchalance.Lorelei spun around to look at him. "Me?! How is any of this my fault?! You were supposed to make me untouchable! Unreplaceable! But you fucked up at that and you're blaming me.""I told you to stay away from it and let me handle it.""Your way of handling it was making Kairen go insane and try to kill this wretched witch. But guess what, father, even that stupid plan of yours didn't work—Ah!" She gasped, her head whipping to the side from the force of her father's slap.Lorelei's face stung

KAIRENMy heart stopped. I don't know how many minutes passed where I didn't breathe. I turned, my gaze dropping to Merilyn's stomach hidden beneath the duvet, her hand carefully placed on it. I moved forward, with each step came memories flooding in. I staggered forward, my hand darting out to press against the bed for support as I fell to my knees. She's pregnant? My lips shook as a smile spread across my face, my vision blurred as tears filled my eyes. My hand shook as I reached for Merilyn's belly, placing my hand over hers. A tear dropped as I looked up at her. Her other hand cupped the side of my face as her eyes gazed into mine, a glowing happiness radiating from those beautiful orbs."We're…" My voice cracked, a lump formed in my throat, "We're having a baby?"Merilyn's eyes turned to slits from how wide she was grinning. Her head bobbed up and down as she whispered a yes. I pulled her in for a hug and held her tight, tears rolling down my face.My heart ached like a vine w

  • THE LYCAN KING’S STOLEN MATE.   Chapter 161

MERILYN"His Majesty still hasn't suspected you?" Heira asked and I shook my head.It had been a week of me hiding out in Kitara's room and trying to locate Jyria.Even though I'd been advised and warned by Caelys not to strain myself, I couldn't help it.A part of me knew she was out there waiting for me to save her.It sounded crazy, insane more than anything that Jyria would still be alive after all these years, but she was.I'd thought of telling Kairen. At least now, he believed me, but without any extra information about her current whereabouts, there was nothing he could do.So I was using my powers, thanks to my previous knowledge that returned after going back to the past. But even with my powers intact and all the knowledge of magic that I knew, I still couldn't locate her.Sometimes, I'd feel like I was so close to her that I could feel her, but suddenly something would break off that connection.Almost like there was a barrier that didn't want me to locate her. And the use

KAIREN“Wh-where are you taking me?…” She drawled as her jelly legs made their way across the pavement. She reeked of alcohol and something sweet. Her scent has grown stronger in the last couple of minutes. “Ohhh, are we going to get laid?” she giggled, limply leaning on me as I held her up. “W
