Chapter Ten

I glanced into the basement where they kept the secured and locked rooms. For several nights I had been dreaming of this place, and it was driving me crazy. I looked behind me and saw no one else was watching. Closing the door, i kept the light on as i made my way downstairs toward the main doors.

Each night I dreamed of Alex. Him holding me hard as he pulled me downstairs. No, not pulling, but leading me. I wasn’t scared either.

His hand was always around my wrist, and within my dream i held a hint of excitement.

At the last step, i looked around each of the rooms that were there for feral wolves. They were empty. Liz told me that we would all be alerted if there were feral wolves on the property. Glancing into each of the rooms, my gaze landed on the one at the back of the stairs.

Alex hadn’t wanted to show me that one, and yet in my dreams this was the one that he led me to every single time.
