chapter 3

Julius's POV

I shifted all my meetings and  appointments an hour forward. The last thing I wanted was to go late to this o - so important dinner.

  I was still skeptish about this dinner.

Why father would put so much importance into sitting and eating is what confused me the most.

I just returned from my 3pm meeting and was sitting behind my desk

I had to leave the office by 4:30 to reach home and get ready for the dinner at 6.

Meaning I was definitely going to miss the important partnership meeting.

"Boss"

Aldonis pushed my glass  office door open with  half of him already in my office .

"Come in"

He walked in with folders of files in his hands and came to the front of my table setting them down.

"Boss said I should make sure you leave on time"

He had his hands behind his back and was chest out in his usual posture.

He had one an all black suit with  Bluetooth headphones in his right ear

I sighed and raked a hand in my hair.

"I'll be out soon

I just have one more meeting"

I stood up and walked over to my large windows,looking down at the city which was Aldonis que to leave.

"Boss

It's time for your next meeting"

My assistant's voice came from the intercom

"Okay

I'll be right there"

"Julius"

Dad's voice came from the bottom of the stairs

I walked down the spiral stairs buttoning up my suit.

It was time for the dinner and my last meeting ended late, much to father's dismay

"I'm ready dad"

I came face to face with my father as I took in his facial features which resembled mine in every way.

We arrived at a very unfamiliar house.

It wasn't much different from ours other than it didn't have as much security.

it was beautiful and was surrounded by a lot of greenery



We got down from the car and we're standing infront of what I assumed was the entrance when the door opened and a man and woman alighted from the house,looking beautiful and so much in love.

I cringed at the sight

"Come in

Mr Chrysantos"

The man stood aside and welcomed us into his house.

It had a homey feeling to it .

We were lead to their living room.

"Zeus"

The man opened his hands and he and father had a hearty embrace filled with chuckles.

"So nice to see you again "

He smiled softly once they pulled apart

"Nice to see you too

You too Miya"

He spoke to the woman that stood beside her husband

I was so bored out of my head that i zoned out.

Clicking of heels coming from somewhere near me broke me out of my daze.I looked up to see a brunette girl descending down the stairs smiling at me. She seemed like someone I knew from somewhere but I couldn't remember



She had on a violet floral gown with a split .



A little over dressed I thought.

She had on an unusual amount of make up that made me cringe.

She walked right up to me and I noticed the face splitting smile on her over glossed lips

"Hey

My name is Nina"

She said in a calm voice as she brought out her hand to me

I exchanged looks from her hand to her face confused.

"Julius"

I said in a monotone taking her hand and shaking it. The smile never leaving her face.

Then a maid came into the living room and scurried off soon after.

"Dinner is ready"

Miya said before her, father and her husband walked into the next room leaving me with Nina.

She gave me weird looks and I felt her gaze constantly on me.

She was like all those girls who ran after me in school and I hated the fact that I had to deal with this all night.

I rolled my eyes and went to join the others in the next room.

After sometime of chattering in the dining, I was already feeling suffocated and annoyed. I had zoned out countless number of times.

"Julius you'v grown into such a fine man.

I can still remember when you thought your name was Juls "

Everyone burst into hearty chuckles but I just stared blankly at her.

I wasn't trying to be rude.i just couldn't pretend like I was interested in this conversation.

"Do excuse me"

I stood up slightly pushing the chair back.

I pushed the chair back into it's place before exiting the dining hall.

I walked outside, immediately I stepped out the evening breeze kissed my face. I finally felt like I could breath. This was so not worth missing my meeting for.I groaned throwing my head back in annoyance.

"Great so I have to deal with this dinner all night  and that over bearing girl who kept trying to make small talk with me and annoyingly trying to flirt with me  "I rolled my eyes at the last part. I ran a hand through my hair deep in thought, when the sound of a car engine got my attention. I looked in front of me to see a black Toyota Corolla pull up in front and a ginger haired girl alighted from the vehicle.The evening wind blew harder pushing her curls in to her face.

Half of her face was visible to me and I could see the smile that curled at her lips revealing her pearl white teeth.



 I froze admiring the beauty infront of me. She was gorgeous.

Her black button eyes were visible as she ran a hand down her hair, using a band that was intertwined in her fingers she threw her hair into a messy bun while I watched like a dumbstruck bimbo. She wasn't able to get all her hair in and a few strands fell, framing her gorgeous face.She turned and waved at someone in the car before it zoomed off.I watched in complete awe as she came closer and closer to me then all of a sudden she stopped and our eyes met. I stared into those ventablack orbs of hers not even bothered about anything else like the fact that I was now too close as I could see the crimson colour that covered her cream coloured face.
