Chapter Fifty Four

LISA

I've never been this angry at Mona before. She crossed the line with what she did. I haven't done anything to her, so why is she doing things that she knows will hurt me?

"Why did you do it? Why?"

"You know the answer to that, Lisa. You're just too afraid to say it."

I shake my head.

"Say it." She steps closer, looking nothing like my sister but a rival making fun of my feelings. "For once in your life, don't be a coward and say what i want."

She stands in front of me, searching my eyes in challenge.

"You're my sister." I say in disbelief.

She doesn't blink.

"What do i want?" She pushes again.

I look down and blink the tears back.

"You want Lore."

She finally steps back and rounds papa's desk.

"There you go. It wasn't that hard now, was it?"

"Why are you doing this to me?" A tear slides down my cheek. "You left, you didn't want to be with him, i stepped in, saved his honor, built a family, true love.."

"It's my life, Lisa. It's mine and we both know it."

I shake
