LISA

My conversation with mona is still playing in the back of my head. i feel like these are the longest hours I've had to wait for something in my entire life.

Lore kisses my forehead and goes to stand from the bed but i grab his hand, stopping him.

"Don't go." I whisper and he scoots closer to me. "What time is it?"

"It's 5 in the morning. You were out for two hours."

"Oh. And everyone?"

"Darien and Maria are using the guest bedroom downstairs. Hillary and Flynn are in the other guest bedroom at the end of this floor."

I bite my bottom lip and nod.

Lore brushes his fingers through my hair and studies me silently.

"I'm so sorry, baby."

I meet his eyes.

"I should have used a better way to communicate earlier -"

I quickly sit up and place my fingers to his mouth and shake my head.

"You have nothing to apologize for. I shouldn't have lied to you. I got us in this situation because of my choices."

I place my hand on his cheek and look into his eyes.

    LISA "Please leave." "Lore..." Hillary calls but Lore doesn't break eye contact with me. "It's Asah. Something happened to Adrian." I snap up at the mention of something happening to my son.     LISAI've never been this angry at Mona before. She crossed the line with what she did. I haven't done anything to her, so why is she doing things that she knows will hurt me? "Why did you do it?     LISA I pace back and forth, i pull out my phone and try to call him again but this time, his number doesn't go through. The knot tying in my stomach gets tighter and i can feel the tears finally flowing down my cheeks. "Any news about sir Lore?" Asah asks. I shakes my head. "No, and I'm very scared and worried." "Well, let's just keep praying. Nothing will happen to him. I'm going to check on Adrian." She pats my arm and i nod. What if something happened to him? Lore never stays out this late, and much worse, he doesn't ignore my calls or messages. Maybe i should call Darien? Yes. He might know something about Lore's whereabouts. Please, God. I sigh in relief when i see Damien and Lore, but what makes my heat skip a few beats is seeing the state Lore is in. His weight is leaning on Darien as he drags him to the sofa.     LORE A week goes by swiftly. Gloria has been handling her side of the company job very well, I'm quite impressed, really. I make my way to the kitchen, barefoot with only sweatpants on.
