I lift the test again and read the paper in case my mind is playing tricks on me and I'm just seeing things, but no, it's there, the positive on paper, the two lines on the stick.

Why would she use a fake surname? Why the hell did she tape the results under the sink?

It can only be because of one thing, she's hiding the information from me and she certainly did not want me to find out.

I hold them in my hands and start heading for the door, the moment I open it, Mona is also stepping inside the bedroom through the main door.

She pauses when she sees me coming out of the bathroom and I see the exact moment she starts to panic.
