ONE THOUSAND SCARS

The next day after school, she snuck into the mansion and opens the door, even if her key card fell from her a couple of times, because of her trembling hands. Walking into the kitchen, she patrolled around it quietly, waiting for the anticipated ghost to make an entrance. As she did this, she blended the garlic and sprinkled it all over the windows and doors. She did not forget to toss some bulbs into the tall flowers and the fields. There after, she sits confidently and awaits the result, with her focus fixed on the restricted areas.

But after thirty minutes of waiting in futility, she couldn't help but laugh at her silly self. What was she even doing? Could she be able to fish out a ghost or a demon with just some few bulbs of garlic and a gas spray? She thought, stuck in the middle of her fruitless plan, not knowing whether to continue or abort.
