Chapter twenty-two

Checking the time, Nora picked up her white purse from the couch, dusting away bread crumbs from her mouth,while chewing.

"I need to go pick up Carl from school,it's already time for him to be come home"

Nora said walking towards the door,her plan was to go without Mae and come back quickly, though she didn't feel good about leaving her alone in her house. She thought of Brenda coming in and meeting a stranger at home but she thought it would be faster.
