I hated hangovers; they were the worst. Well, that served me right for drinking too much. I woke up late, and luckily it was Sunday and not a workday. My hair was a complete mess, and I smelled like alcohol. I knew I had to take a shower immediately.

I got out of bed, took off the clothes I wore to the party, and tossed them into the laundry basket in my room. Then I went into the bathroom and took my time in the shower before finally stepping out after what felt like hours.

When I was done, I went to the closet and picked out something simple to wear ; a black baggy shirt paired with blue baggy trousers. I removed the towel wrapped around my body and hair, hung it on the towel rail, then applied some body cream before putting on the clothes I’d chosen earlier, along with blue slippers.

After finishing up, I dried my hair and applied some cream to it before leaving my room to prepare breakfast. But as soon as I reached the kitchen, the sweet smell of pancakes hit me, and there was Blake, cooking.

“Good morning,” I greeted, and Blake’s head snapped in my direction.

“Good morning to you too, Becky,” he replied with a small smile.

“I see you decided to cook breakfast. That’s something I haven’t seen you do before,” I commented, teasing a little, and Blake chuckled.

“Well, I realized when you guys wake up from your sleep, the hangover will hit hard and you might not be able to cook anything, so I decided to make breakfast for everyone,” he explained.

I wanted to ask him if I did anything stupid while I was drunk, but I didn’t have the courage.

“I’d like to ask you something,” Blake said suddenly, and I wondered what it was. I just hoped it had nothing to do with the club.

“Go on,” I said, giving him the go-ahead.

“At the club there…” he began, but was interrupted by Lily, who appeared out of nowhere.

“Good morning, you all. What’s cooking?” she asked, and I felt a wave of irritation because it was the second time she’d interrupted Blake when he was about to say something important.

“Good morning to you too,” I replied flatly.

“Good morning, Lily. Well, it’s pancakes that are cooking. Would you mind helping me put them on the dining table?” Blake asked politely. I hoped she would agree so that he could continue where he left off.

“Okay,” Lily agreed and picked up the tray filled with pancakes from the counter before leaving.

“What were you trying to tell me?” I asked once she was out of sight.

“Forget about it,” he said quickly, and I felt another wave of frustration rise inside me.

“If I may ask, did I do anything shameful at the club?” I asked cautiously. He rubbed the back of his neck, his cheeks turning a deep shade of red.

“No,” he said in a nervous tone, avoiding my eyes.

“Blake…” I dragged his name a little, trying to get the truth out of him.

“Well… you may have done a few weird things,” he admitted, still scratching his neck.

“Like what?” I asked curiously.

“You…” he started but got interrupted again by Lily, who walked in at the worst possible moment. I swear I was going to have her head later for constantly interrupting whenever Blake had something important to say.

“I’m done!” she announced loudly.

“Okay, that’s great. Thanks for the help,” Blake said appreciatively.

“What were you guys talking about when I left?” Lily asked. I decided to stay quiet, and I hoped Blake would too.

“It was nothing much,” Blake replied casually. “Anyway, could you help me get the apple juice from the refrigerator to the dining table?”

“I will, but could I borrow Becky for a while? I have something important to discuss with her,” Lily said, and I almost screamed in frustration because she was once again stopping Blake from telling me the truth.

“Okay,” Blake agreed, and I groaned quietly.

“Let’s go,” she said, grabbing my hand and dragging me out of the kitchen.

“What?” I asked, frustration lacing my tone as I pulled my hand free once we were out of the kitchen.

“What did Blake tell you?” she asked, raising her brows and tilting her head slightly.

“All thanks to your interruption, I didn’t get to know what he was saying,” I complained, glaring at her.

“Oh… I’m sorry,” she said, trying to sound sympathetic, but it didn’t make me feel any better.

“It’s okay,” I replied, though I wasn’t okay at all. I just didn’t want her to feel bad.

“Please wait for a while, I forgot to get the apple drinks from the refrigerator,” she said before turning and walking away.

I stood there, waiting for her, and finally, her figure appeared again from the hallway.

“Finally,” I muttered, and she chuckled.

“Could you help me with the tray?” Lily asked.

“Yes,” I said, taking it from her. I helped her carry the tray to the dining table and set it down carefully.

“Ding!” came the sound of Lily’s phone chiming from her pocket. She pulled it out, checked the screen, and suddenly her face lit up with excitement, smiling from ear to ear.

“What’s that?” I asked curiously, noticing how happy she looked.

“Becky, you won’t believe this! You got a job as a secretary in one of the top companies in New York City!” Lily exclaimed, and my eyes widened in surprise and excitement. But what shocked me even more was that I didn’t remember applying for any job.

“How? Because I don’t remember applying for one,” I said, still confused.

“Well, I applied for jobs for both of us at several companies, including the top one in New York. Luckily, you got accepted there, which was really surprising,” Lily explained, and I was stunned.

“Did you also get the job?” I asked, curious.

“Well, I didn’t get any,” she admitted, and I immediately felt bad for her.

“Oh, I’m sorry,” I said softly.

“It’s okay, as long as one of us got the job,” she said with a smile.

“But you’re more talented than I am, and you know more about that kind of work,” I said honestly.

“Forget about that and let’s go celebrate,” she said cheerfully.

“I’ll call Abby, and you call Blake so we can celebrate,” she added before rushing off without even waiting for a response.

"What?! Are you serious?" Emily said, her eyes widening in shock."Yes, I am. And why would I joke about something like that?" Cassidy responded."I hope you rejected him," Emily said, raising her brows."No, I didn’t. I was so shocked to even process anything," Cassidy replied."Did you go back to look for him after you processed everything?" Emily asked."Yes, I did, but he was already gone when I came back to check for him," Cassidy answered."Does anyone else know, or is it just me?" Emily asked another question."Only you know about this," Cassidy replied."Damn," Emily breathed, still stunned by all of this."I don't know what to do. I'm so confused," Cassidy said."I think you should tell your father since you're confused. He could help you reach out to him as far as you can still remember his looks," Emily advised."Thanks for the idea. I didn't even think of that," Cassidy appreciated."You're welcome," Emily acknowledged. "Do you still remember what he looks like?" she asked

  • THE OMEGA'S HEAT   Secret company

Kael still couldn’t believe he had seen his mate, and that he had even kissed her. The moment kept replaying in his mind. The anger that surged through him when he saw her grinding against another man still burned in his chest. He had wanted to rip the man apart, to tear him limb from limb, but he held himself back. He couldn’t risk scaring her. He’d seen the pain in her eyes when he walked away. He wished he could have stayed longer, just a little more time to hold her, but he couldn’t. He had to return to the pack before anyone grew suspicious. The last thing he needed was to draw attention to himself, not when things were already tense. When Kael got back from seeing his mate, he ended up killing a few rogues who had tried to attack the pack borders, leaving their lifeless bodies behind. He made a mental note to tell his father about it later in the day.The moment Kael realized he smelled like his mate, he quickly masked her scent. He couldn’t afford anyone picking up on it.Now t

  • THE OMEGA'S HEAT   A kiss

“I… will do it,” I agreed nervously and went over to Blake’s side, sitting on his lap. I wasn’t even wearing any panties, so I was sure he could feel it. I hadn’t even started rocking him yet, and he was already hard, his dick poking against my thighs. After a minute of sitting still, I began moving slowly, rocking him, and he kept getting harder through his pants. When I was done, I stood up, leaving him painfully hard. His face was red, veins popped along his neck, and his jaw was clenched tight. “Way to go, Becky, you left him hard,” Abby said with a smirk curling on her lips. I so badly wanted to wipe it off. This game was getting too intense, and I had to ask if we could end it or play something else because I didn’t want to be asked anything so bold again. “Could we play another game?” I asked. “No way, Becky. We’ll only stop when we’re drunk or tipsy,” Lily announced, and I knew I had to brace myself and hope it didn’t point at me again. A few minutes passed, and luckily, i
