The invisible Omega

The slap that landed on my cheek echoed through the courtyard. My head snapped to the side, my hair flying across my face. I could taste blood on my tongue from the intensity of the slap. Before the pain could settle, I felt another slap land on my cheeks like a thunder bolt, and my knees hit the frozen ground. My cheeks were crimson red and lips bruised from the slap, yet I didn't show any weakness. Laughter rippled through the gathered pack members. No one stepped in because as an Omega my humiliation was their entertainment. “On your feet Omega” Beta Aldric snarled above me. His voice was as cold as the winter wind in the courtyard. The Alphas arrival

The sound of voices echoed through the hallway, and I recognized the Alpha's sons’ voices. Their voices were similar, with a deepness that stirred something strange in my stomach and heat between my legs. I slipped quietly to the hallway where the Alpha's sons were so I could catch a glimpse of them. I hid behind one of the hallway's statues and peeked. I spotted Beta Aldric, Cassidy with her minions, and the Alpha's sons. The Alpha's sons looked as handsome as I remembered and even more powerful, over the years. The kitchen was one of my safe places, where I could lose myself and forget about my suffering. But today it felt like a dungeon, filled with excessive tasks. While I was preparing the food needed for the ceremony, I could hear the sound of boots echoing through the pack house and getting louder with each step. Magnus fist slammed against the desk, his nostrils flaring and his jaw clenched. “How could they accept such a nobody as their mate? Do they even cherish their position as Alphas?” Magnus roared, with anger dripping from his tone. “I don't remember training them to be so pathetic.
