Chapter two.

LUNA'S POV.

The flight was very uneventful for Luna who slept through it all, contrasting to the lively Sandra who took this opportunity to update her travel blogs and post some pictures on her social media accounts.

They'd taken a rest in a hotel for the night after the flight, the next morning, boarding the already awaiting cruise boat to the island.

It was another boring moment for Luna, slightly worse than the first since she became sea sick half way through the journey.

This week doesn't seem like a pretty good week to her.

There was no dolphins jumping around, no sign of a whale. Hell, she wasn't even sure if she caught sight of a single fish.

The moon was already up when they got to their destination. Luna having no strength left to admire the beautiful setting before her as she was lead to her room.

One thing she knew was that she was hungry, and very tired.

Hungry and tired are two words she never mess with.

Dinner was served some minutes later and she found her self in the midst of many other people her age.

The other winners she guessed.

She focused on her food, leaving Sandra who still managed to keep up the smile on her face all this while, to deal with the introductions.

Without sparing any one a glance she wiped her plate clean, Immediately heading back to her room.

She managed to send her old lady a goodnight text before dropping on the bed.

Her eyes closing shut the second her head hit the pillow.

★★★★★★★

"Wakey, Wakey." A loud voice sounded in the room, accompanied by the feeling of uncomfortable light ray bouncing on her face.

"Leave me alone Sandy." Luna groaned, throwing the sheets over her head.

She needed more sleep if they wanted her to function like a normal human.

"Am not holding you." Sandra swiftly snatched her blanket, tossing it to the other side of the room. "I just want your ass up."

"Isn't it all the same?" A groan escaped Luna's lips as she forced herself to sit upright.  Eyes droopy and head swaying.

"It's afternoon already cockwit." Sandra scowls at her undead looking friend.

What will she do without her? Probably crawl up in a dark corner and die.

"The others are already on the beach, so up you go." She grabbed both of Luna's hand, pulling her off the bed before throwing her into the bathroom. "Five minutes. Or am coming in to do the job myself."

"Why are you so rude to me? Mom said to take care of each other remember?" Luna cried through sleepy eyes.

"And that's what am doing." Sandy rolled her eyes at the futile attempt. No way she was letting her go back to bed. "Four minutes remaining."

Luna let out an heavy sigh, deciding to go with the flow.

One must know it's very impossible to win against Sandy. Arguing with her should be considered as a waste of time.

Why isn't it already stated in the constitution? She doesn't knows.

Washing the sleep out of her face. She brushes her teeth then takes a wild bath.

Walking out of the bathroom to meet an awaiting Sandra who was going through her things.

It was just the same way she left it yesterday.

Unattended to.

"Here. Put this on."

She sigh once more, reluctantly picking up the clothes Sandra tossed on the bed.

After putting on the clothes, Sandra sit her down, lighting up her face with some lip gloss and eyeliner.

Atleast she looks more alive now. Sandy thought to herself.

Luna wasn't really a big fan of makeup, so it was better to just touch it up here and there or she'd be taking the risk of having her handwork cruelly wiped off some seconds later.

"All done. Let's go." Luna shots up from the chair, stretching out her arms.

"What about breakfast?"

"I will see if I can get you something." Sandy nodded. "The boys were preparing some barbeque when I left."

Barbeque for breakfast? Luna cringed at the thought.

As if Sandra had heard her thoughts, she shoot her a scowl. "It's afternoon already."

"Breakfast still remains breakfast." Luna mutters under her breath.

Following Sandra's lead, they took the exit at the back of the resort, taking a part that leads to a open ground. A beach.

People littered around.

Her jaw fell open at the sight of the high mountains and lush green vegetation.

How hungry was she to not have noticed this yesterday?

It must definitely be because they arrived at night.

"Come on. Let me introduce you to the others." Sandra grabs on her hand running towards the beach.

She wasn't sure if Luna would remember any face. One thing she knows about that bestfriend of her' is everything turns non-existent the moment she grows very hungry. Worst when she needs a nap.

"Hey Jeff...Nash..." She waves at a group of guys by a barbeque stand. Dragging a tired looking Luna along with her.

Two more guys appeared the moment they reached the stand.

"Guys." She called, even if their eyes were already on her. Mostly on Luna. "This is my sister from yesterday. Just forget about the fact you saw her yesterday."

"Hi." The black boy spoke first, white teeth glistening in the sun. Who said black boys weren't handsome? "Am Durban Jefferson. You can call me Jeff."

"Hey."  Luna replied with a smile.

"Ryan Sylvester, Russo Nash." The black haired chinese guy points at a blue eyed blond, then a light brunette with light green eyes. "I am Zhang Wei."

"Hey..." The named boys sent a small wave.

"Nice to meet you all."

"Well is the barbeque ready? My sister here is pretty hungry." Sandra said to Ryan. She looked pretty close to the boys already.

"You missed breakfast?" Zhang Wei turned to Luna. It would take more than a blind ear to miss that country accent of his.

"I slept through." Luna replied, her lips forming into a sheepish smile.

"It's almost ready." Nash assured. "You girls can go wait on the beach. We will be sure to let you know when it is ready."

"Well then I will be counting on you for breakfast." Luna nodded hungrily. Just the aroma of the barbeque proved enough to mess with her brain.

"It's Afternoon already young miss." Nash points out.

"Breakfast still remains breakfast." She pointed out once more, heading down the beach.

She hadn't gotten far when she sighted a figure sitting alone on the sand. Scribbling something on the book in his hands, eyes staring deep into the crashing waves.

She looked back at the boys, then the group of girls chatting while lying under the sun. Sandy in their midst.

Deciding there isn't much of a choice, she drags her foot over, slumping next to the boy.

"Hey."

Salvador's head whipped to the side at the sudden sound. It's the girl from yesterday.

Salvador wasn't really good at talking to people, so when he mustered up his courage to say hello to the dirty blond girl sitting next to him during dinner, only to be ignored he felt a bit hurt.

Maybe more than a bit.

"Have we met before." Luna found the gaze familiar. Or maybe it was because his eyes found her familiar.

"Huh...at dinner." Salvador managed to piece together.

"Dinner?"

"I said hi to you but you didn't reply." Salvador didn't know why he said that. It was not like he cared.

"Oh...." Luna form drenched with guiltiness. "An sorry. I wasn't in my right mind yesterday."

"It's alright." Salvador smile, his smile slipping when he realized he hadn't even introduced himself. "Garcia Salvador–My name."

Mexican. Luna confirmed in her head.

"Hubert Luna, and it's nice to meet you." Luna said sincerely. Something about Salvador made her feel comfortable. "So what were you doing?"

Her eyes wandered to the book Salvador was holding, and he gave her a nervous smile.

"It's nothing."

"I saw you scribbling on the book earlier. Is it a diary or something?" Luna asked suddenly getting curious.

She really didn't want to become the curious cat. But the story did ended with it's resurrection, so she doesn't mind.

"No–its not a diary." Salvador blurted out immediately.

"A drawing note?" Luna took another guess.

"Not that too." Salvador shook his head.

"Then can I see?"

Salvador wanted to refused but ending up giving in at the end. "okay."
