CHAPTER-4 NERVOUS DAY

The super lifting machinery from the Mammoet company has been positioned on the port's quayside. The cable tank has been lifted and placed on the main deck of Stanford Univers-03. Welding will now begin. Welders are checking the Maschine. The safety officer is checking everywhere.

If the cable tank is fixed today, we can start the work of unrolling the cable from the material barge and rolling it to our ship by night. A big setup is being prepared for this.

This is the summary of the setup.

At high tide, the material barge will be at dock level. At that time, the Mammoet lifting trailer will slowly enter the barge. The barge has space to enter the trailer. The cable drum is raised from the welding deck on wide legs. After the trailer is fully reached under the cable drum, the welded legs are cut and removed. After making sure that the cable tank fully holds the trailer, it will slowly drive to the port dock. It will take at least six hours. After that, the cable drum position will be fixed at one point of the dock.

Once the welding of the cable tank in the Barge is completed, the work of rolling it to the ship will begin with the help of a tensioner and cable puller.

Deck foreman Jessey gives instructions for everything. The points to be welded are discussed with the welding supervisor.

"I wouldn't say rush the job. Take your time. Don't fail the NDT welding test." Jessy.

"I will not make any mistake. I have brought workers who have been welding for 20 years. They have a higher rate. However, due to the importance of this work, we did not look at the rate. We will finish the work before 6 pm" Welding Foremen.

Mark, the shift supervisor, came in there saying that if there is any doubt about the drawing, he should say so.

"The joints to be welded are marked..." Jessy showed him the welding map drawing.

Mark said very good, all the best and left.

"He's done for today," Mark said, slamming his fist into the wall.

Keith stood there in silence.

"I am the shift supervisor. The construction manager is standing there. He doesn't even think a word about us when such important work is going on. The project manager is completely unprofessional. Should we follow the organization chart?This is happening any other companies..??I never heard ..A project manager is not discussing the Job with his construction manager and directly dealing with a deck foremen??That also a new guy..?What does he think about us? Everything will be over by today."

"The senior director is angry. The cable vender selection was decided by this new project manager. Those German Cable Vendor were our people. At least three million, we should get a commission on this project... All that didn't happen because of this new project manager. He is young. All our people are trying to screw him up. It is burning. What we have prepared for the management today is a great gift. This Jesse is his strength. Jesse will end today. If the workers die, the project manager will also be responsible. He bypass the organization chart.It is questionable under the company rule and country law. Excluding the construction manager and executing the work directly with the foremen is a crime within the company. ." said the construction manager through gritted teeth

Keith realized that things were deep...not as intended..big games are behind happening.A lot of people..whatever..if Jesse leaves, I can take his place, and Keith calmed down.

"How about welding?" Construction Manager

"Good kids. They'll do as we say. The welding supervisor has confirmed," said Mark.

"Keith, your job is very important" said the Construction Manager.

"Yes, sir"... that's right. So far, my work has not been mentioned in this plan. So far only the work of listening to their plans has been done. I was thinking. What is my role... Keith thought..

"Only the NDT supervisor and the welding supervisor know this plan. The workers don't know. The supervisor will manage the workers. When the NDT results are done, they both will come to my room to sign the work log book. You are the one who should give them tea while I talk to them. Tea, cool drinks. Drinks they say you should bring.." Construction Manager...

Keith started shaking a little.

"And.... this is Russian... good and dangerous poison... those who take it don't even know a drop of doubt. They will not  vomite.. two drops are enough... in giving to drink..." Handing Keith a glass bottle the size of a little finger. Construction Manager said.

If this man is alive, we are in danger.

"Oh my God!! Am I in trouble? Who brought me along? I never thought of committing such a big crime when I heard that I would get a promotion. What will I do now?" A thousand thoughts went through Keith's mind as he bowed his head.

"Tomorrow night the three of us will go to the city. Arrangements have been made for the gate pass. Welding will be done in a few hours. Incomplete welding.. hahaha... When the cable goes halfway into the tank, the tank will burst. Loss of crores. Jesse and the project manager will go out. .. haha" The construction manager left with a shout and a laugh...

Keith stood there in silence. What is sitting in his hand is deadly poison. Just follow what they say. Poor Indian... They believed them... Everything is God's will.... Keith went from there to the room.

Clara walks back and forth through the room, bare below the waist. The room is slightly open.

I scolded my mind not to look there and went to the bridge. The captain called me.

"Why are you hanging around the girls' room?" Captain

"The elevator is broken. That's why I use the stairs to come here. The captain always has a bad idea, isn't he?" I asked in a comedic tone.

"I don't think so after seeing you..." said the captain naturally...

"Let's get to the point.  Helicopter landing message came. What's so urgent?"

I was amazed. Why the helicopter now? Isn't it at the port.. Those who want to come can come by car...

"No, the higher manager is someone..he said he would be back in half an hour."

'Ok. I just informed you—helicopter landing. Marine Crew, please take the position. "Captain announced.

The helicopter landed. A jolt in the Ship.Marine Crew completed the landing procedure and the guests come out from the Helicopter.

It was the Project manager. The senior director is also there. Why did he come in such a hurry now? The client is not even aware of this. The onboard client is notified when such a large crowd arrives. I'm all done.

"All are suspended" shouted the senior director.

Mark, the construction manager, bowed his head.

We are working knowing that you are all criminals. These are my people. Stupid... What did you think...

"This is the voice clips, W******p chat records, and video records you talked about."

The project manager said, showing the welding supervisor's phone.

The welding supervisor and NDT supervisor came there with a smile on their faces.

Mark clenched his fists.

"You got it wrong about us. Welding is our job. We will never lie for money. We have informed sir about everything you asked. Even Jesse didn't know. We are people who don't know how to kill a single ant even," the welding supervisor stopped.

"What are these ras…ls supposed to do? They should come with us now in the helicopter," said the senior director

"I have to take the luggage," said Mark. He knows that he will be handed over to the police.

"No... don't talk..."Shouted the project manager.

The helicopter flew away with them.

The captain looked at me without understanding anything. Those are big things. I said.

"That's right. Those are their internal matters. Let's not interfere..." Ibrahim (Client) said.

Welding is done on deck. Will finish by night. Cable loading will be completed by tomorrow afternoon.

"Can you please close ur cabin door Mrs. Clara. Sorry for this" the captain called on the land line and requested Clara.

"Let them enjoy" was her reply.

Young men walk back and forth in front of her room. It's very crowded there.

What happened to Mark, the construction manager and Keith who were taken onshore? There is a possibility of handing over to the police as there is solid evidence. So if they give that  evidence to police,sure they will go to jail. But will the company do that??
