On a day when nature rested, our ship started the pre-lay survey. I am standing in the survey room. The surveyors focus on the navigation screen. Day duty is three people. Indonesians. Total sea views were being sent to the screen by the ROV camera. Small fishes go round and round. Baby sharks go in groups—sand raised by the ship's movement. I started seeing many images on the navigation screen. Live... "35 km; I am surveying for the first time," said the senior surveyor. "Me too" I nodded "Any debris found on the route should be removed immediately." "Not enough after the survey?." "No. It's such a big route. So it's better to clean the debris one by one." Our ship is approaching the oil platform. It is very interesting to see from the ship. A sight that seems far away suddenly appears to be near.
