CHAPTER EIGHT.
Alexa and Chris wondered what was taking them so long. The young man, Drake, had ask if he could leave and Chris said he could. The twins stayed there waiting patiently until they saw a girl running out of the inn.
She was blonde and she looked older than Alexa. The Blondie looked so frightened that she didn't noticed that Alexa and Chris were standing there. When she noticed them, she started to run in the other direction but they went after her. When they caught her Chris tried to hold her down so she doesn't escape but she was struggling too hard so Alexa joined and they succeeded in holding her down.
Officer Gale managed to open the door and they both ran outside to find Chris and Alexa restraining the blonde girl.

THE PLAYGROUND CHAPTER NINE.
After they left the station, they went to the hospital to check on their mom and what happened next was like a miracle. They went to her ward and talked to her like they usually do, and after a while they went home but they had barely gotten home when the doctor called them that their mom had woken up. Alexa was overjoyed, she was smiling so sweetly, the smile that Chris had missed so much. They wanted to go back to the hospital but the doctor said they should wait till the next day because she needed to rest.After they had dinner that night, they tried calling Aiden but his number was switched off. That would be the tenth time they'd be trying his number. Dave said not to bother him, that they would call him in the morning.
THE PLAYGROUND CHAPTER TEN.
Chris brought out his phone and was about to dial the number when Aiden roughly shoved Alexa and ran out of the room. Chris ran after him but he was too fast, he got out of the house before he could get to him. Dave glanced over at Alexa and he felt bad for his little sister. She looked so heartbroken, he had no idea what Aiden could've done to hurt her that much and honestly he didn't really care. The fact that he even hurt her at all was enough to make him hate him.Chris came back up and told them he had called the cops and they would get there in a couple of minutes. About ten minutes later, they heard a knock on the door and when Chris opened it, it was officer gale and he looked like he had bad news. "Can I come in?""Of course. Is everything ok?"

The woman looked at her with pity "so be it" and before she could do anything, she felt a sharp pain in her chest then she saw a dagger stained with blood in the woman's hand. She looked down at her chest and tried to stop the bleeding with her hands. Dave and Chris screamed and hurried to her, she tried to go to them also but she fell to the ground. As she laid there, a lot of things crossed her mind. She didn't want to die now, there was still so much she hadn't done. They still hadn't found their dad yet and what about their mom?, she lost Jenny, was she gonna loose her too?. She opened her mouth to say something but all that came out was blood. Its been a week since they found out that Alexa was in coma and she might not wake up. Their dad was discharged two days ago and since then he had been focused on making their mom happy. Chris and Dave were in charge of answering the cops whenever they needed their attention. Recently, a woman was arrested for trying to break into their old house. When she was being questioned, she said Josie asked her to do it. "She said she left something that belonged to her in the house and it was really important to her." "What thing are we talking about here?""She wouldn't tell me. She just told me to check in the attic, that I'd find it in a black box.""Take her away.""Yes sir.""Oh and get me officer gale.""Yes sir."(Later)"You called for me sir?""Yes

Dave's POV"Well what do we have here?""What?, you found something?""As a matter of fact, I did""Is it the key?""No key yet, but something important also". It was a photo album. Pictures of Aiden and Josie and some including Sophie and some other people."I've seen this man somewhere. His body looks quite familiar, and that cold smile...I've seen it somewhere before""Really?, where?""I can't really remember. Ohh....he was the one at the hospital""The hospital?""Yes. When Chris and I went to see the doctor concerning Alexa, he was in the office with him.""Did you hear what they were talking about?""No, but we could ask the doctor""Okay. Let's look around for a while if we can find anything else"

Gale's POV"Have you started distributing the fliers?""Yes sir""Good. I want his face everywhere, and even on TV, we wouldn't want him to escape.""Yes sir""Okay, you may leave now"I stayed up all night reading the journal and I couldn't believe how terrible a man could be. I'm gonna have nightmares for the next month just for reading it, the kidnapping, the murders, I had only seen stuff like that in movies. Like killing people by boiling them, taking out their hearts, imprisoning people in dungeons,and using them for sacrifice. I for one never really believed in supernatural powers or ' beings from the other side ' , but now I do.I really feel bad for Dave and his family, to think that till three months ago, I didn't even know the Hathaways. Alexa's POV"Alexa dear, how are you feeling?""I'm fine mom" I smiled weakly, but I was still wondering why officer gale was with me when I woke up. He looked so concerned about me that one could think that he was related to me. What I saw couldn't be real, could it?"Lexi!!" Alexa's POVIt was a new week, Chris had gone back to school, dad applied for a job at an oil company, Dave was also on the lookout for a job and their mom spent most of her time at the hospital with me.Several bodies have been turning up all over town, so far there have been ten cases, minus the ones that happened before. Some of the bodies were mutilated while the others were just dead, the cause of death was still unknown. The police department were still on the search for Josie and her minions but its like they were ghosts.
