CHAPTER FOUR.

It has been three weeks now and Alexa's dad hasn't been found.  Her mom was in the hospital cause she tried to kill herself. when David asked their mom why she did that, she said she didn't remember. That she remembered going upstairs to her room to rest for a while and the next thing she knew, she was in the hospital. The cops were also looking for Josie, but it was like she vanished from the surface of the earth. Alexa was sure that Josie had something to do with Jenny's death cause the cross that was on her door was exactly the same with the one Josie gave to her.

Aiden and Alexa became very close, Aiden was there whenever Alexa needed a shoulder to cry on, which was often because she'd been crying a lot lately.

Chris stopped coming home,  he said bad things have been happening since Aiden entered their home. They had a fight once when Chris confronted Aiden and accused him of killing Jenny. David believed Chris a little but Alexa was convinced it was a coincidence. Many times her brothers tried to convince her to ask him to go home but she wouldn't listen.

After a few petty arguments and exchanging of punches a few times, David and Aiden had become friends and Chris had no choice than to stop marking Aiden as the bad guy.

David became a father to Alexa and Chris. He also spent most of his time at the hospital because of their mother, so most of the time it was only Alexa and Aiden that slept alone in the house. Chris had stopped hating Aiden but he still wasn't comfortable staying in the sane house with him. Meanwhile, Alexa and Aiden's friendship grew stronger and one thing led to another. Soon, they were so fond of each other and Alexa felt like she couldn't live without him.

One night, Alexa was downstairs in the living room when she heard a violent knock on the door.

"Who is it?"

"Open the door!!" The voice yelled. The voice sounded strange, like someone choking and still trying to yell at the same time.

"Who are you and what do you want?" She asked, trying to sound bold.

The person didn't reply, he just kept knocking. It kept getting louder and Alexa was getting more scared, she didn't know what to do and she was the only one at home. After a few minutes of violent knocking, he stopped. Alexa moved closer to the door and looked through the peep hole with the hope of getting a view of the violent knocker, but what she saw frightened her. A creepy eye was staring back at her, she screamed and fell backwards moving towards the couch then suddenly she heard a familiar voice outside.

"Hey!, who the hell are you? And what are you doing here?"

"No, Chris, get away from him, run!, leave, he's dangerous" she screamed, but Chris didn't pay any attention to her. "No, please listen to me, go"

"I can take care of myself!," he yelled at Alexa "Now I'm talking to you old man, step away from my door!!"

Chris kept yelling at the man but he didn't say anything, neither did he step away from the door. He just stood there, facing the door and was growling. Alexa was really terrified at that point and she decided to call the cops. She was talking to an officer when the knocking started again but it didn't last long because Chris attacked the man.

The two were struggling but Alexa saw that Chris was getting tired so she picked a baseball bat and ran out to help him. She whacked the man several times but he didn't get up, he didn't even act like she was hurting him at all. Instead, it seemed like he was only getting angrier. From beneath him, Chris let out a  pained scream and Alexa saw that the man had pierced his throat with his sharp teeth.

She was scared and didn't know what to do so she ran back inside and called the cops again and they assured her that they would be there soon, she hung up and decided to call David but he didn't answer, she also called Aiden, his phone was switched off. She ran back to help Chris, but to her dismay he wasn't there. She just saw blood.

"Chris! Chris!!" She cried, but no one answered. She was about to call him again, but she suddenly froze because she felt like someone was breathing on her neck, she slowly turned and was terrified by what she saw, it was in that moment that she realized they weren't dealing with a human. His face was really creepy, and his skin was kinda greyish. His eyes were plain white and his lips looked like it had almost been chewed up. He smelled like something that had died a long time ago. The sight before Alexa made her want to throw up. She screamed and tried to run from him but he pulled her from her hair and was dragging her towards the garage. She kept screaming, crying, scratching and doing basically everything she could do to get the man -- or whatever it was -- to leave her alone, but no matter what she did, he didn't let go.

Alexa had already given up hope, she already thought she would die, her violent screaming reduced to silent sobs, she felt weak and defenseless. As the creepy man approached the garage, she noticed a bright light from the corner of her eyes. It looked like the headlights of a car, then she heard sounds like a door slamming and she also heard voices, finally, the cops were here.

"Freeze!, put your hands in the air!"

The man just growled and kept walking, so the officer shot him which only seem to anger the man. He let go of Alexa's hair and went for the officer. The officer shot again and again but none of it affected the man when he got to the officer, he just ripped his head off. Alexa did throw up then, then she weakly got to her feet and tried to run inside but it was no use because he saw her and started towards her. She didn't know when or how she broke her ankle, but it was and it was hurting like hell and was making her slow. She hadn't gotten anywhere when he caught up to her and that was the last thing she remembered.
