chapter 3

Rodriguez stared at the woman in front of him and was taken aback she was the kind that turns male head in the street a real knockout .

"" Please come in and close the door behind you "he asked

I was trying to get my composure back due to the shock i just had . But one glimpse of him and i became a jelly inside , what is it about Rodriguez that keeps making my head spin in different phase .

Reminiscing

I had always had this crazy weakness for him since the beginning . His cousin mandez had always been too pretty and a womanizer to be precise even at a tender age and she had never looked at him in that kind of way.

Rodriguez has been a spirited human , fascinating . His manner couldnt mark the intense emotion he held and the intensity in his eyes . He was sexy that I couldn't deny .

I quickly closed the door behind me and walked towards the chair placed in front of the desk . Unfortunately for me i almost fell off due to the fact i couldnt watch where i was going to .

Rodriguez swung into action catching me before i could fall my ass off . The heat of his hands sends electricity down my spine and i jerked away to settle down into the allocated chair that was set for me .

I had to pinch my self into reality , Rodriguez touched me even when he loathed physical contact "I was expecting to see my father " i admitted .

"Castillo asked me to handle this while he travelled " He finally spoke trying to stop himself from touching her her .

He had never wanted so badly to touch a woman's hair which took him by surprise and made him to get a hold of himself striding down the room . The dull throb of awakening desire at his groin made him try to get himself composed since adulthood he had always been able to control his body and since childhood emotion .

He couldn't believe the tomboy he knew then , has finally grown into a woman.

"I understand , he travelled due to emergency " i spoke clearly the air with him looming around me

"Be rest assured you wont even know it was me instead of my father and the exchange will work out fine "

"You need financial help " he pointed out

Making me look like a beggar i spoke bluntly without thinking " i didnt ask for money"

"A place to work , accomodation "? reminding her

"The good news is that I'm willing to provide the help you need if ,you can do something for me in return".

"I cant imagine or know of anything i can do for you " i told him truthfully.

"At the end of next month my mother is throwing a ball at the palace . And she is trying to match me up with a future bride and guest list is filled with women of the right pedigree and background ".

"So what am i to make of this " I asked looking confused , and suddenly grab what he was insinuating ."Wait you are joking right . "

"I am serious for the good of it "he said

" I am not ready to get married and settled down and i am also working on something to keep my mother grounded for awhile, So for now all i could arrive at is having to appear with a partner to the ball whom I'm seriously involved with and i want you to be that partner."

""Me " ? i gaze at him. "How could i be your partner ? I couldn't go to a Royal ball. "I am well below your standard "

""Why , when you a groomed and suitably gowned , refined you could". His focus was elsewhere all he could think of was her lower lip looking so inviting "You just have to work hard before the ball and act like the sort of woman i could bring to the ball "

""Impossible , its not about the fancy dress or makeup or whatsoever " .

""Well for now it is possible given that we have some weeks to prepare , I know you could easily do it " he declared . "Whether you fail or successfully hack the plan doesn't matter regardless I'll be paying you a huge sum".

"Why me , you can ask a friend or instead hire someone to do it " i said in a rush . "why someone like me ".

"I could hire anyone Yes but i dont want it to end into a mess and someone told me i couldn't pass an ordinary woman into a socialite" he said truthfully . "You fit the bill and since we both want a lasting solution so its better than being indebted to someone when i can foot the bill" .

"You're doing all this because of a bet , isnt this absurd " i questioned

""well it seems absurd to you but it doesn't concern you "" he said sounding arrogant .

"I guess not " not wanting to argue but challenged by the intensity in his gaze.

Suddenly , trying to deal with the flood of sexual awakening made me weak yet excited and spreading to a more sensitive place. I felt my nipple pinch right through my tee shirt and the small swell of my breast moved with shaken breath trying to stop the immerse torture it brings . But my body's reaction to Rodriguez had never been something i could slowly control amd the heat it brings between my thighs made me feel uncomfortable and foolish at the same time .

A bet  I thought fighting it hard to stop myself from thinking about my physical contact with him .

"You're betting on something that cant be predicted and might make a loss" I said .

"That's my problem to think of not yours "he said without hesitation "You need to think of how it will benefit you , to settle your rent and pay for your father's hospital bill and surgery. I dont know what i could offer for the employment but i know I'll provide help . The decision is yours to make , I'll give you 48 hours to respond to it "

"How do i know that if i finally agree to it you will keep your promise "? I asked ."I have limited people i trust"

"I give you my word " he said." surely that should do " i could draw up a legal agreement , will that be fine by you ".

"We dont need a legal agreement for this " You could just pay for the hospital bill" i said stressed .

"So from next month you have to be by my side till the month end "

"i think havent thought this through".

"Well it all been sorted out from your side , you'll move in here as soon as possible " .

"Move in here ? with you ? that wasnt included "

How can we achieve it if you're not available ? And if we have to pretend to be as lovers we have to be comfortable around each other " he pointed out .

"I cant move in with you , what will i have to tell my mom and siblings ".

"Its up to you , you either tell them you got a job or you're having an affair with me . whatever suit you ."

"I have two part time job which I'll be leaving so and ill be unavailable for some months too".

"Unavailable , what do you mean for some month?".

"Its something personal i dont want to talk about " . i said without sounding rude."I'll say you offered me a job .

I'll say i was helping you with some paper work and documenting it for you ".

"I dont understand " he said looking confused .

"I was just a few months in completing my education and i was into accounting before my dad's illness and i had to drop out" .

"I have to stop the meeting soon and go to the hospital "

"Hospital ? i asked concerned

"I have to meeting by 2 , so we can talk about this later " he said watching me closely .

i remembered i also had an appointment by 2 coincidentally.

"okay"

I had to rush since i was already late , it was past 2'o'clock . getting into the hospital i was directed by a young doctor .

I was here to see the father of the child I'll be carrying amd sign a confidential document .

"Hi ,Doctor so sorry I'm late " he said .

The voice sound so familiar and looking up to see the shock of my life for the second time today .
