CHAPTER 4

________________

Back at Northern park. With Alexia gone, the Alpha was set to take a new Luna. He had introduced Hayley to the rest of the leaders of the park. His mate. He had already marked and claimed her. They will rule the park together, forever. The park was busy with preparations for the wedding celebration when a messenger came from the southern park to deliver the message from the southern Alpha to the Northern Alpha.

The Northern Luna was kidnapped by the southern Alpha. The southern Alpha needed a ransom. He wanted the omega girl. Hayley. They would take her to the deepest part of the woods where the southern Alpha was with the Luna and exchange will be done. If the Northern Alpha objects, the southern Alpha would wage war. Of course, Damian chose war. He would not lose his mate for anything.

The messenger came back with the news Alexia wanted to hear. War. He also came back with the news that raged her. The man she loved was taking another Luna. An actual Luna. Hayley. Hertha growled. She wanted a run but she was in the southern park, not her territory. She couldn't.

The southern gammas were summoned by the Alpha and told to prepare for war. They were ever ready.

______________

ALEXIA'S  POV

She wasn't expecting Damian to make such a move as fast as that. The memories flooded in as she sat on the bed. They were only young when they fell in love. Not yet teenagers. They would play in the rain and snow. They would go running in the woods together. They would go hunting together. He was the next Alpha and, she was the daughter of his father's Beta. Their families got along well and hoped that their children end up as mates. But it didn't happen.

They got to realize that they were not mates on their eighteenth birthday. They should have broken any tiers they had back then but No! They were in love. Damian had promised her their bond would be stronger than that of a mate. He would be an Alpha and she, his Luna. And with their love, they would conquer the world. It seemed perfect. They never told anyone that they weren't mates. His father died in battle, fighting the then-southern Alpha.

Damian became the Alpha and she, his Luna. Everything was going perfect. She would bear children and they would one day be Alphas. She would lead the park alongside her husband till her last day. But everything changed. The blonde girl came along. An omega. A commoner. Damian's mate. A dangerous coward who could only rely on the help of a bow and arrow to kill her in her previous life.

A tear dropped on Alexia's face. How could Damian have forgotten their good old days in such a hurry? Was the mate's bond that strong? She would never know. She hasn't even met her mate. She didn't wish to meet her mate. She wanted Damian. She wanted to be the Luna and rule the pack.

She might have lost Damian to the mate's bond with that omega girl but she would never lose her Luna title. She was a Luna. An Alpha female. With or without Damian. She would rule the four parks. Yes, she would.

With the war approaching, she was a step closer to being the Alpha female, head of the four parks. The Northern park,  Southern park,  Eastern park and, West park.

________________

The day had finally come. The day the southern park will invade the Northern park. The cloud was dark but the full moon shone down on the ground. The southern gammas had arrived in the Northern woods the day before and were ready for war.

They invaded the Northern park and the Northern gammas were ready too. But they were no match for the southern gammas. The southern gammas were skilled and the Northern gammas were outnumbered. It was already a lost battle for the Northern park. But they fought. With all their might they fought.

She had been running for two days nonstop and she was tired but she needed to do what she had to do. When she arrived at Northern park,  she transformed into Alexia. She was unique and would be spotted if she went about as Hertha. She wore the cloak she came with and covered the hood on her head. She walked to Damian's house and went in through the back door. The women were hiding here. They usually did when there was war. She walked over to the one room she knew she would find her. She opened the door and peeped in. She was there, standing by the window and staring outside. Her back to the door. She didn't even notice Alexia when she came in. Alexia locked the door silently. She's trapped and would not escape.

When Hayley noticed the presence in the room, she turned around swiftly. She gasped at the sight that met her. It was Hertha. She looked fearful and intimidating. In a flash, Hertha growled and came at her, scratching her face with her claws. Hayley wasn't given the time to get ready. A bit on Hayley's neck and she screamed out. But no one was going to hear her. The men were outside fighting and the women, haha. Too many cowards to come to save the Luna.

Hayley fell to her knees. She was bleeding. She was not strong. Only an omega. Hertha transformed again and Alexia reached for the little bit long pocket in her cloak. An arrow. She removed it and buried it into the bleeding girl's stomach.

She had done it. She had killed Hayley and she was happy. She was happy that Damian was now free from the mate's bond. With Hayley gone, he was.

She looked down at the dying girl. She deserved it. Coming to her life to mess things up, she deserved it big time. Alexia walked over to the door, unlocked it and when she was out, locked it again. No one was going to save the girl. She made her way to the woods, transformed into Hertha and leapt away.
