Irene sat beside me, staring at the wrap of burrito in front of her. This was her first time outside Ember Moon. At first she wasn't sure if she should come with me, but I convinced her to. She had stared outside the windows throughout the ride here. And when we got here, she couldn't stop admiring how big and populated it was. I chuckled and told her to wait until she gets her wolf so that she can perceive the smells.

And now that we were in a cafe, she wasn't sure of what she was eating.

“Irene, trust me," I said, chewing on a bite. “There are varieties of food you haven't tasted that you would love. Step out of the shadows and taste this one."

She frowned in uncertainty. I could see Axton holding back a laugh.

“Axton, don't laugh," I scolded.

“I'm sorry, she's just cute." He replied.

“I'm not cute; I'm 12. It's only babies that are cute.” Irene replied and grabbed the wrap, inhaled, and finally took a big bite.
