He slowly turned, shock visible all over his face. He stood up and walked slowly to me.

“Aries" he called softly in disbelief

There were no scratches on him,he looked hale and healthy. I stepped closer, inspecting him carefully. I lifted my hand to his stomach where he had that gruesome wound. He didn't grimace or wince in pain. My hand ran through his body trying to confirm if he was really ok.

My vision blurred as tears formed in my eyes. I moved my palm to his face and cupped his cheeks.

“June"

I pulled him into a deep hug, crying and patting his back.

I disengaged and observed him once more just to be sure, then pulled him into a hug again.

“Aries, you're here" he said with a quivering voice

I ran my hands through his hair, I was still in disbelief.

" You were dead June. You died” I choked in a whisper.

He smiled and wiped my tears with his thumb.

" I can't believe I died and left you all alone”he replied

I dropped my hands from his face, observing him once more. He was in on

  • THE REVENGE OF THE WHITE WOLF    CHAPTER FIFTY

I woke up with a start, it was quiet except for night insects buzzing now and then. But I knew somewhere in this building a meeting was going on, I looked out the window, it was still dark.I climbed out of bed and tiptoed to the door, slowly opening it, careful not to make a sound. The hall was empty and dark. I stepped out quietly and closed the door behind me. Two priorities; one is to not get caught and the other is to find their meeting room. Barefoot, I padded towards the Alpha's office, sniffing as I went, but there was no one there. That's when I realized that this place had far more rooms than I thought. Hallway after hallway stretched out before me, each filled with doors yet still nothing. I decided to head back to the alpha's office, then noticed another stairway just before his office. I climbed cautiously, careful not to cause a creak. At the top, different scents hit me.Jackpot!I followed the trail, passing a massive door that reeked of both Alpha and Luna. I shive

  • THE REVENGE OF THE WHITE WOLF    CHAPTER FORTY-NINE

My heart thundered rapidly on my chest as we drove back in silence. I kept praying for them to have found some useless evidence that I might've lived in the human city. I didn't know how that would be possible, but I really needed it to be; if not, I'll have to shift and then cause a fight and escape, which will take me to square zero.Axton has refused to say anything to me, which made me even more suspicious that they didn't find any proof to my story. I finally accepted that I was leaving the pack today. He parked his car, and we went inside without the bags.Although my face remained calm, within me I was panicking. Please, goddess, tell me you somehow made this possible. As usual, I hid behind his back as he led me to the alpha's office, which was opposite the direction of the room I was locked in. The further we went, the darker the walls. We finally came to a wide passage that had three doors, one on both sides and the last one on the end of the passage. Obviously Thane's offic

  • THE REVENGE OF THE WHITE WOLF    CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT

I hid behind Axton, who was only a few inches taller than me. He had offered to take me to a boutique to get some extra clothes for me. Axton was the one given the duty of keeping an eye on me since he was the one who bought me, which was quite reasonable. He was the spy of the pack, the one in charge of sneaking into other packs or gatherings like a rat to gather useful information. Wasn't mated yet and lived in a quiet cabin a few meters away from the pack house, left to him by his late parents. He was quiet and reserved but knew a lot, which makes him suitable as the pack's spy.As we drove through the town, he kept pointing at buildings and telling me who owns them and what they're for.At one point, I fixed my gaze on him. Thinking about how disappointed he would be when he really gets to know who I am.Just one day and he's already growing fond of me.Too bad, I'll be breaking his heart soon.“Hold on," he suddenly said pausing, realizing something.“You've never spoken to me si

The window was open, a good way to escape but I wasn't going to. I still haven't finished what I came for. Although I didn't expect to be arrested, this was also good. At least it proved that they were more alert than Ember Moon. This was a huge setback, I didn't expect this at all. Thane was right, I am a spy but they wouldn't be able to prove it because I wasn't going to let them to.I had different ideas on what to tell them, I wasn't going to tell them the truth. In this situation, a good lie was needed. The lock clicked and the door opened. Alpha Thane stepped in with his beta, Axel. Their gazes were fierce as if trying to scare me. I realized that if I wanted my story to be believable, I'll have to put aside my pride and the fact that I wasn't scared of anyone. I'll need to start acting scared and fragile, like the homeless person they assumed I was.My gaze locked on Alpha Thane's, I quickly looked away, pretending to be scared. They locked the door behind them, Thane grabbed t

She handed me the towel then silently gestured toward the wardrobe, wanting me to get the clothes myself.I walked towards it and took out the only clothes there, a jean trouser and a black top. I walked into the bathroom and had a cold shower then put them on.I walked out to meet Jessica casually seated on the chairs, her head resting on the table. I walked towards her, she was sleeping.I wasn't interested in waking her up, instead I gently carried her and laid her on the bed without waking her up. She felt so small and light in my arms.If I needed to gather information, I needed a few friends and I knew that one of the best people to get easy information from were the omegas. I sat on the chair, deep in thought.Alpha Thane and Axton are probably discussing the recent happenings in Ember Moon, so as to know how and when to attack. But I knew they weren't going to attack now, they would wait for things to get worse and strike when the pack is at their lowest.By then, Dominic wou

  • THE REVENGE OF THE WHITE WOLF    CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE

The ride was silent; his eyes were focused on the road. I didn't bother saying anything either; I was lost in my own train of thoughts. What kept bothering me was the long-haired alpha; he had seen me in the cafe that day, and I know he wouldn't have forgotten so easily. What would he think about me if he realized that I'm the one his pack member brought home? Do they think I'm human or a werewolf?I'm sure they know I'm a werewolf; otherwise, they wouldn't have agreed to bring me into the pack. I wasn't planning on staying long.I planned on getting a little info and then sneaking out without revealing my identity. It wouldn't be easy, but it was important. It was a long ride, over an hour. The snow on the way didn't make it any easier for the drive, as he had to slow down in order not to slip.“What's your name?" He asked, breaking the silence.I glanced at him and then turned away, refusing to answer.“I'm Axton,” he introduced, encouraging me to say my name.I couldn't possibly
