ALPHA DRACO’S POV I didn’t know I still had a space for her in my heart until I heard she was dying. The thought of me not being able to see her anymore pricked my heart and made it an unbearable pain. How could she die just like that? How am I supposed to carry on? HELENA’S POV “Because I love you!” that line made time stop for me. It came so sudden and unexpected that it shattered all the guards I had put up around me and left me staring into space like a fool who missed her direction. Did I just hear him say he loved me? Helena was finally discharged from the hospital since she had recovered rapidly but she wouldn’t talk about what she found in the medical record she saw at the library the other day before. She screamed crazily and fainted. The car pulled up in front of one of the mansions at the palace and Draco rushed to help puzzled Helena down the car. “What are we doing here? This is not my quarters” she questioned, looking around. “I ordered all your things to be moved here. You will be staying in this comfortable place from now on”, he informed her. Her eyes rolled on their own accord. He was trying so hard to please her but she was not in the mood for it. “I prefer my quarters. The musty dull smell of rusted irons plunged into the humid air that was hardly finding its way into the dark basement. Droplets of water fell onto the huge drum at the right side of the room at some minute’s interval and it could be heard from a pretty far distance thanks to the total state of silence the small square room was.
