The musty dull smell of rusted irons plunged into the humid air that was hardly finding its way into the dark basement. Droplets of water fell onto the huge drum at the right side of the room at some minute’s interval and it could be heard from a pretty far distance thanks to the total state of silence the small square room was. DRACO’S POV I planned to be shamelessly involved with Helena even though I knew she would continually push me away. Through the command of Han, the maids spread the word of Helena spending the night with Alpha to the ears of Amy who couldn’t believe her ears. “She’s doing what?” she asked, pausing her drink “She will be spending the night at the Alpha’s chamber” her spy confirmed once again and she slapped her drink off the table in anger. Immediately she appeared in the hall, Amy’s heart skipped a bit. She knew what she was capable of doing. After all, Helena is not someone to be dared. “What do you mean by that Luna?” Elder Conri countered her, raising his voice. “What else would I mean? I want my own date, so do your meeting and give me mine” she shrugged, answering calmly. The elders started to murmur with themselves about her rude behavior and the best answer to give to her sudden question. Elder Boris calmly stood up and faced Helena, who was waiting patiently for their answers. “Luna, I understand your grief and concern, but how about we settling this after the ceremony? You are the mother of the pack, you should be able to bear this much” he stated in a meek, persuading tone, and she almost fell for him, but Prince Klaux strode in to add fuel to the fire. His head went blank at those questions. He should have thought about it before giving out the order but the sudden situation prompted him. His fingers rubbed along his forehead as he tried thinking of an answer, but someone rescued him from behind. “He will get back to you soon, you can all return to your posts” Beta Gray stated and they all bowed before turning back. After carefully arranging the books back on the shelf, they went to sleep and left for the palace early the next day.
