The musty dull smell of rusted irons plunged into the humid air that was hardly finding its way into the dark basement. Droplets of water fell onto the huge drum at the right side of the room at some minute’s interval and it could be heard from a pretty far distance thanks to the total state of silence the small square room was. DRACO’S POV I planned to be shamelessly involved with Helena even though I knew she would continually push me away. Once she makes a decision, she will stand by it no matter what and her decision for revenge involves her not falling for me. I knew that clearly. It was obvious! Through the command of Han, the maids spread the word of Helena spending the night with Alpha to the ears of Amy who couldn’t believe her ears. “She’s doing what?” she asked, pausing her drink “She will be spending the night at the Alpha’s chamber” her spy confirmed once again and she slapped her drink off the table in anger. With a tight clenching of her fist and teeth, “That sly bitch” she cursed under her breathe. “Is the Alpha back?” she asked and the maid confirmed that he already went to his room. Immediately she appeared in the hall, Amy’s heart skipped a bit. She knew what she was capable of doing. After all, Helena is not someone to be dared. “What do you mean by that Luna?” Elder Conri countered her, raising his voice. “What else would I mean? I want my own date, so do your meeting and give me mine” she shrugged, answering calmly. The elders started to murmur with themselves about her rude behavior and the best answer to give to her sudden question. Elder Boris calmly stood up and faced Helena, who was waiting patiently for their answers. “Luna, I understand your grief and concern, but how about we settling this after the ceremony? You are the mother of the pack, you should be able to bear this much” he stated in a meek, persuading tone, and she almost fell for him, but Prince Klaux strode in to add fuel to the fire. Is there anything you have for us in order to trail, identify or track him down?” the head of guards asked swiftly as they assembled in front of the house where Draco was standing. His head went blank at those questions. He should have thought about it before giving out the order but the sudden situation prompted him. His fingers rubbed along his forehead as he tried thinking of an answer, but someone rescued him from behind. “He will get back to you soon, you can all return to your posts” Beta Gray stated and they all bowed before turning back. A tired sigh emerged from the disengaged Alpha as he kept rubbing his forehead. “She’s awake, you can come in” Gray announced, and he didn’t waste any seconds before rushing in. After carefully arranging the books back on the shelf, they went to sleep and left for the palace early the next day. By the time they got to the palace, Helena was already up and about but she didn’t step out of her room. Draco marched out to welcome them on arrival and summoned them to his chambers for their feedback. “So what is the good news that you brought?” eagerness evident in his tone Prince Klaux pouted, “Who told you we brought any good news in the first place? Han bowed this time around and stepped forward to hand over the letter they retrieved from the mail box. “This was all we could find but we believe it is a clue to wherever he might be.
