Chapter Twenty-four

After dinner, everyone gathered at the long table; making jokes and reliving childhood moments. Fortunately for Doris, Zara dozed off on her lap during the moment, whatever the adults were talking and laughing about was none of her concerns.

Alfred and his family retired early to their room as soon as Florence complained of exhaustion, she apologized that she was not making the event fun but her hormones and current state was to be blamed.

Katrina offered to help Doris clear the table whilst Adi engaged Matt in one of her never-ending conversation. Amidst the conversation, Adi would move closer to give him a clear view of her cleavage, which wasn't very difficult to do due to how low the v-neck of the red gown she wore, was. Doris felt nauseous just by looking at Adi's motions, so, she decided to leave for a short while before she does something she'll regret later.
