Grayham’s POV

“One glass of lemonade!” Someone hollered.

“Coming up?” I responded with my hands glued to the phone.

When I called Miles last night to congratulate him on being tactical with his plan concerning Victor, he laughed and said he would call me back for a detailed conversation.

This afternoon, he texted me that the board members had summoned Victor, and he was roasted. He said he was going to drop by the café tonight to brief me on the situation, but it’s 30 minutes to closing hour, and there’s still no sign of him.

I just dropped him a text, asking whether he was still going to show up. As far as I’m concerned, he could come here anytime since we have an understanding with the people now. He doesn’t have to wait for everyone to leave then he turns up like a thief in the night the way we met in the past.

I dropped the phone on the counter and smiled while looking at the door. I’d like it if he drops by when everyone is gone. We could have some fun while he tells me about Vic

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    HE’S WORSE

Grayham’s POV“This way,” Henry said and led me toward the CEO’s office. I could see that he was quite uptight. Perhaps, he was on the edge because he believed that someone from the street had come to take over his boss’s position while there were better replacements. Like him of course. I stepped into the office and stopped when Henry walked toward the desk.My God!It’s been ages. It’s been 73 days minus the one-month period that I was in a coma. I can’t believe I’ve been away from my haven for months that feel like a decade. I slowly stepped into the office and smiled when I caught a portrait of my Grandpa on the wall.He was the first CEO to ever run this company and right beside his portrait was my father’s and then mine. I turned to the visitor’s sofa and brushed it. There was a glass table at the center and my curtains. My black curtains.Miles changed nothing but how could he? To alter anything is to arouse suspicion. I walked to the window and parted the railings.I miss th

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    ACTING CEO

Grayham’s POVAt first, I thought I had imagined him speaking but when I turned around, I noticed his eyes were open. I smiled and rushed toward the bed. I quickly sat and then took his hand.“What happened?” Miles asked and then painfully rolled his eyes around the ward.I sighed. “You don’t remember anything. Do you?”He pressed his eyes against each other and then opened them with a groan. Looks like he was in so much pain.“I remember falling,” he managed to say. “It must be around. I can’t believe I ended up in a hospital,” he said.I began to brush his hand. “You’re fine now,” Honestly, he did give me a scare. “I..I immediately stopped speaking when it occurred to me that I’d be stupid to say what was on my mind.Suddenly, the door to the ward opened and the first thing I did was let go of his hand. My Granpa and the doctor appeared.I cleared my throat loudly, stood up, and retreated from the bed. “He’s awake!”The doctor immediately went to Miles and began to check his eyes w

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    A CRASH

Mile’s POVHenry had just submitted a report to me via my email. I was going through it before I forwarded it to Grayham when the door to the office was pushed open.Victor barged into the office breathing heavily. I sighed and tossed the tablet before me to the side. His nostrils were puffing hot air and his jaw was clenched. I noticed the newspaper in his hand and I immediately understood the cause of his agitation. He slapped the paper on the table and looked me straight in the face. “You’re behind this. Aren’t you?”I displayed a blank expression. “Behind what?”“Don’t play games with me,” Victor flared up. “You paid this reporter to smear me before the world. This is a smear campaign,”I chuckled. “Smear campaign? Tell me Victor, are any of those things written there a lie?”He sighed heavily.“If I were you, I would stick to ensuring I leave a mark. It’s day 4. I gave you a week. Let’s what what you have with the remaining 3 days,”He clenched his fists and was about to throw a

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    MILES STRIKES DIPLOMATICALLY

Grayham’s POVIt’s been two days since Miles decided to reinstate Victor as the heir of Wilson Industries. It’s not practical that way but that’s what I understood from the meeting. Why would he make such a bet without consulting me?To be frank, there was no room for consultation because Victor didn’t give room for that but perhaps, Miles would have just stayed mute and allowed the bastard to slap him with a legal document.I can’t believe this was happening with barely twenty-five days to the ritual. Just when I had thought that things would go swiftly with the café back in business, fate reminded me that it was nearly impossible to stay sane in a situation where Miles and I were involved.Miles hasn’t shown his face here since the incident with Victor and it’s a good thing that he didn’t because I wouldn’t have given him a listening ear. He has called severally times to explain his so-called plan but I wasn’t ready to buy it.Victor was brutal, vile, and vengeful and he needs someo

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    A DEAL

Mile’s POVVictor’s gaze hardened after my statement. What’s the problem with Grayham’s family? Why are they always cruel and stiff except Lily and their Grandpa? Perhaps it’s just Grayham and Victor with so much ego.Victor held up my stare. His eyes burned maliciously while his hands were glued to the table.“I want what’s mine. My inheritance, my rightful place, and my honor,” he stated, looking me straight in the face.I sighed and then threw my head backward. As expected, he was here for another piece of the Wilson name.I positioned my hands on the table and held up his malicious stare. “No one took your so-called honor or dignity from you. You were never named, never known, or acknowledged,”He clenched his jaw.I fell back on the chair and began to play with my fingers dramatically. “Are you sure my dad was even aware that you existed?”His brows went up.“Maybe you’re just a product of one of his mistakes. A mistake he didn’t name until his death,”“Shut the fuck up!” Victor
