MOMENT OF TRUTH

Grayham’s POV

It’s been over 12 hours since Mile’s scheduled trip to Thailand and right now, I was standing in the café, staring at the phone in my hand.

I heaved a deep sigh, placed my ego at the back of my mind, and finally called his number.

A beeping sound came on. “This is Miles, Leave a message.”

I heaved another sigh and contemplated whether I should go ahead and leave a message since the call went into voicemail or I should just hang up.

But if I hung up, I wasn’t sure if I could muster the courage to call again so I cleared my throat loudly, rested my back against the counter, and began to speak.

“Hello, Miles. How’s Thailand? I hope you’re having a good time. There’s a large body of water there so you would want to stay closer to the buildings because someone might randomly give you a shove and then you’ll end up inside the water.” I said and then laughed over the silly joke.

    Grayham’s POVAfter I left the Wilson mansion, I hailed a cab and went back to Kaden home. The sun was already shining brightly and by the time I reached the café, it was busting with customers. Max and Shirley had their hands full.
