Shannon’s POV

After that encounter with mom, our relationship became strained. She noticed I was still mad at her, so she tried all that was within her power to please me, yet, I didn’t budge.

The following day saw me in my room cuddling my pillow as I thought of all the good times I had shared with her. Suddenly, my mind went to Selena. Deep down, I was certain she was behind the wolfsbane incident.

Even if the triplets bullied me, I knew there is no way they would try to hurt me to the extent I would find myself in the hospital. When she came around that day, fright and anger overwhelmed me and that was why I began to cough since I was uncomfortable.
