LOGINTHIRD PERSON POV.
Dante’s fists slammed repeatedly against the punching bag, his rage increasing with each strike. He could not get over the audacity of that new girl questioning his authority and humiliating him in front of the entire school, something that had never happened in his entire life. With every hit, his anger grew stronger as he silently plotted ways to make her pay dearly for it. “Still thinking about that girl?” Collin teased, a smirk playing on his lips while casually resting his hands on the breasts of a girl neither of his brothers had seen before. But Dante and Kris paid her no attention. It was a regular sight seeing Collin, the youngest of the triplets, with a different girl almost every day. Dante stopped the swinging punching bag, violently yanked off his gloves, and threw them across the room. “She really got to you, huh, bro?” Collin chuckled. “I have never seen you this worked up over a girl before.” Dante glared at his brother, clearly not amused. He collapsed into a nearby chair and muttered under his breath, “That stupid bitch.” Collin leaned forward, watching as Dante repeatedly ran his hands through his hair. “So what are you going to do about this girl?” he asked with a smug grin. “She made a fool out of you in front of the entire school. What’s stopping her from doing it again? I think you should teach her a lesson. One she would never forget.” Kris, who had been silently scrolling through his phone, finally decided to speak. “Or maybe you should let it slide. After all, if you had not made that ridiculous request, none of this would have happened,” he pointed out calmly. Dante scoffed. “Please, don’t start with one of your lectures. I’m not in the mood for that. Besides, you wouldn’t understand. Asserting dominance is much better than trying to play nice.” “If that’s completely true, then why didn’t it work on that girl?” Kris asked matter-of-factly. “Because humans are stubborn and brainless. Eventually, I’ll teach that weak creature her place. Trust me.” Kris merely shook his head, not interested in arguing further. Just then, the door burst wide open. Standing there was Ava, clutching a crumpled piece of paper in her hand while breathing heavily as though she had run all the way there. Without sparing anyone else in the room a glance, she marched straight toward Dante and threw the paper at him. “Do I look like a joke to you?” she yelled, jabbing a finger against his hard chest, her face red with rage. “Just because you’re the Alpha’s son does not give you the right to treat me like this. I refuse to quit!” Dante’s confusion slowly shifted into irritation. “What the hell are you talking about? Last time I checked, you were the one who injured my nose, and now you have the audacity to storm into my private gym and start talking nonsense?” Ava crossed her arms, her voice calmer now. “It’s a shame your nose healed so nicely. I liked it better when it was disfigured. It suited your personality.” Her comment earned a few suppressed laughs from the others in the room, though they quickly disguised them as coughs the moment Dante shot them a warning glare. “If you think you’re going to expel me because of some stupid misunderstanding, then you must be joking. I’m not leaving after my mother spent so much money on my tuition,” Ava added firmly. “What are you talking about, weakling?” Dante narrowed his eyes at her. Before she could answer, Collin interrupted. “Seeing as you embarrassed Dante in front of the whole school, I thought it would be better if you got expelled before you corrupted anyone else’s mind.” He grinned before adding, “Just following my teacher’s example.” Ava’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Wow. So not only are you bullies, but you’re cowards too?” she scoffed. “What’s wrong? Are you scared I’m going to destroy your little empire?” “I’m not a coward,” Dante snapped immediately, unwilling to let his image take another hit. “And what makes you think I’m going to let you off without proper punishment?” he asked, leaning forward until he was inches away from her face. “I may not be as powerful as you people, but one thing I will never tolerate is allowing some spoiled rich boys to treat me like I’m nothing!” Dante burst into laughter as though she had just told the funniest joke imaginable. “We can’t treat you like nothing. You want to know why?” He paused, his tone dropping into something colder and far more wicked. “Because to us, you already are nothing.” Ava bit down on her lip, holding back the anger threatening to explode inside her. “I guess you need more than a nosebleed to knock some sense into you.” “What I need, sweetheart, is someone to remind the entire school what happens when you end up in the Golden Boys’ bad books.” “Golden Boys? That has got to be the lamest name I’ve ever heard,” Ava scoffed before turning to leave. “See you at school tomorrow, Navy,” Dante called after her mockingly. The second she disappeared from the room, Kris spoke up. “I like her.” “I agree,” Collin nodded approvingly. “It’s rare seeing someone stand up to Dante, especially someone of her rank. I find it admirable.” “I wouldn’t call it admirable,” Dante muttered, clenching his fists tightly. “There’s nothing admirable about stupidity.” “What are you going to do to her?” Collin asked almost too eagerly. But that was not surprising. He had always enjoyed drama far too much. Dante fell silent for a moment, staring blankly ahead before finally speaking in a low, husky tone. “Exactly what we’ve always done to people who forget their place.” “You wouldn’t go that far,” Kris warned cautiously. Dante’s expression darkened. “She asked for it.”DANTE’S POV.I woke up that morning feeling lighter than I had in years. For a few blissful seconds, I simply lay there staring at the ceiling, replaying the memory of Ava tangled in my arms, her soft voice whispering that she loved me.A stupid grin spread across my face as I turned toward her side of the bed, already reaching for her.But the space beside me was cold and empty.I frowned and pushed myself up onto one elbow, glancing around the cabin. “Ava?”No response.A knot formed in my stomach.Maybe she was embarrassed.Last night had changed something between us. Maybe this morning she didn’t know how to face me afterward.Hell, maybe she regretted it.The thought made my wolf recoil painfully.I rubbed a hand over my face and glanced at the clock. It was already late enough that she should have been back by now.I got out of bed and checked the bathroom first.Empty.“Ava?” I called again, my voice rough with sleep and growing unease.Silence...I searched the cabin anyway, o
WARNING: MATURE CONTENT.AVA’S POV. Night fell and contrary to what Dante thinks I had an amazing dinner with Piper and she wasn't scary at all. She was a regular visitor and came to this Village whenever life became stressful. Piper came with her boyfriend, both of them gym instructors, which explained their impressive physique. After a refreshing shower, I slipped into a pair of panties and a long t-shirt. As soon as I lay on my bed, an unexpected feeling of loneliness washed over me. Tonight, I longed for Dante’s presence by my side. He was already lying on the ground where he had been sleeping since our parrival, but tonight, I wanted him to be close to me.“Hey! Dante,” I murmured softly. Dante made an inaudible sound. “Are you still awake?” Dante turned toward me. “Yes, pumpkin. Missing me?” he asked with a smirk. I blushed but was thankful for the darkness, he could not see it. “Yeah…” I murmured shyly. “Do you want to join me in bed?” MYAaaar Dante raised his head slight
COLLIN’S POV“I’m telling you, that fish was this big,” I said dramatically, stretching my arms so wide that the old villager beside me burst into laughter.“You young men always exaggerate,” he replied.I placed a hand over my chest in mock offense. “Exaggerate? Sir, I am one of the most honest men you will ever meet.”The old man snorted. “That alone tells me you are lying.”I laughed, shaking my head before my attention drifted toward the path leading back from the forest. Dante and Ava were soaking wet. My eyes narrowed, they seemed to be spending way too much time together. Ava used to hate this guy, she practically embarrassed him in psychology class a week ago . It was all everyone talked about. It hurts that I wasn’t there to witness it. Now they were acting rather suspicious.Ava’s red curls clung to her shoulders while her white dress stuck to her skin from the water. Dante walked beside her looking far too calm for a man who clearly had been doing something he shouldn’t.
DANTE’S POVI watched Ava play in the lake, her red curls loose around her shoulders, blazing beneath the sunlight like living fire. The sight of her was almost unreal. She wore a white traditional gown gifted by one of the village women. The fabric clung softly to her figure, flowing around her like water itself. It looked as though it had been made solely for her, because no one else could have worn it with such effortless beauty. She spun through the shallow water, laughing softly to herself while the ends of her dress darkened from the lake, sticking delicately to her skin.“Come join me,” Ava called, turning toward me with a grin.I shook my head, leaning back against the rock behind me. “I’m fine here. I like watching you.”“Please, Dante,” she pleaded, pouting dramatically. “The water’s warm, and we could actually have fun together for once.”I huffed a quiet laugh. She knew exactly how to get what she wanted from me.With a reluctant sigh, I pushed myself off the ground and wa
(FLASHBACK: BEFORE THE TRIP)TIANA’S POV“Do you know why I chose you to be my son’s wife?” the Alpha asked, staring at me with an intense gaze.I nodded. “Because our family alliance would strengthen both packs and make us even more powerful,” I replied. He gave a slow nod. “That is part of the truth, but it is not the only reason I chose you for my son.” He leaned back against his chair. “I chose you because I knew you were exactly the kind of Luna my son needs. You understand the history of our people. You understand why certain traditions exist. And most importantly, you were born into the right kind of family, one that knows how to utilize power.”Silence settled between us for a moment.“How long have you known about the triplet mate?”I swallowed hard. “Since after the mating ball.”“Ah.” He leaned forward, folding his hands together on the table. “And yet you have done nothing about it. Aren’t you afraid she might sabotage your marriage?”I clenched my jaw. “She’s human. There
KRIS'S POVI hadn't slept a wink after learning that Ava and Dante never made it back to their cabin. The news had only gotten worse when someone reported that the horse they'd taken had returned without them.I spent most of the night staring at the ceiling, wondering if this was somehow part of Father's plan. Had he arranged for them to disappear? Was he punishing Ava?Every possibility that crossed my mind seemed worse than the last.By midnight, I'd tossed and turned so much that Tiana finally kicked me out of bed, complaining that I was ruining her beauty sleep. The moment the first light of dawn crept across the sky, I got dressed and headed outside. When I stepped into Collin's room, he was already awake. Clearly I wasn’t the only one unable to sleep. We were preparing to mount our horses and begin searching when a figure in the distance caught my eye.As they drew closer, my chest tightened. It was Dante carrying Ava on his back. Relief and irritation flood through me at once.
AVA’S POV.I was washing my hand in the school restroom when Jessica and her followers barged into the bathroom, laughing and giggling. Jessica positioned herself beside me, meticulously applying her signature pink glitter lip gloss.Jessica turned to her friends and flipped her hair from side to
AVA’S POV.I gently wrapped my fingers around my mother’s cold hands,as the heart monitor continued its steady beeping. I sniff back a tear, saying a little prayer to whatever god that could hear me. I was so grateful that Kris had been with me, when I saw my mother’s unconscious body lying in the
AVA’S POV. I sat alone in the cafeteria eating my homemade lunch. I scanned the hall hoping I would see Lisa but she was not in the area. “Is this seat taken ?” Tiana asked in her ever cheerful voice. “It's free,” I answered.Tiana sat down next to me, bringing out her lunch. She took a glance
DANTE’S POVI was halfway down the hallway when I heard hurried footsteps behind me.“Lisa, please wait up!”I did not bother turning around. I already knew that voice belong to. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught her weaving through the crowded hallway, chasing after Lisa like her life depende
