AVA’S POV.

I arrived at school the next day, and people began whispering and giggling as I walked past, but I tried to ignore it. I noticed they were slowly following me, and when I stopped at my locker, the whispering intensified, and they started recording on their phones. I knew something was up so, I carefully opened my locker, standing behind the door, but everything inside was untouched.

“Hey, There is no drama here, just shush and move along,” I gestured, hoping they would leave.

But then, as I reached for my books in the locker, it was as if an invisible trigger was set off, and suddenly, I was completely drenched in green paint from head to toe. This caused a big laugh and I had to endure my walk of shame to the bathroom. I tried to clean as best as I could but my red hair was a wild mess, impossible to tame with just water and my fingers. I sighed and headed to the classroom, feeling quite flustered.

I don't know why I thought the classroom was going to be any better but as soon as I walked in someone yelled out, “What happened to your hair, never heard of combing?”

“Don't be mean, she is too poor to afford to buy one? Maybe I could do a little charity and lend you one of mine,” the girl with glossy lips said, waving her comb in front of me while chewing gum.

“I'm good,” I responded through tight lips. I knew for a fact that she was anything but nice.

“If you say so,” she said, tucking her comb away. “Come sit here my friend.”

I looked around and I noticed that that was the only chair available, if this was like in the movies. I know not to sit on it because there's no reason why this rich spoiled girl would be nice to me.

“Ava Piper, find your seat and stop disrupting my class,” the teacher interrupted.

I cautiously tested the chair, ensuring it wouldn’t fall apart. I was not about to make a mockery of myself the second time. The spoiled girl smiled sweetly at me, “Don't worry, it's safe.”

The rest of the class went smoothly, thankfully. However, during lunchtime, the spoiled girl invited me to join her. I tried to get up but found myself stuck. It dawned on me that I had sat on glue.

“What did you do?” I asked accusingly.

“That is for disrespecting my boyfriend,” she hissed, dropping the fake smile she had been wearing.

"Dante is your boyfriend?" I scoffed. "You must have really bad taste in men."

"Who are you to judge?" she hissed. "You're so ugly, no one would want to be with an ugly pig like you."

I rolled my eyes. "At least I'm not as ugly as your personality."

She hissed back, "Good luck trying to get off that chair," and then she left, leaving me alone in the classroom.

I struggled to free myself from the chair but I was making little effort. Suddenly, the door swung open, and in walked Kris. Among his triplet brothers, he was the only one with blue eyes. Lisa, my best friend, always described him as the perfect son, but I had my doubts about that.

"What are you looking at?" I scolded. "If you are here to start another drama, I'm not in the mood for it."

Kris glanced around, puzzled by my isolated presence. "I heard groaning as I passed by, so I thought I should check," he said innocently.

"As you can see, I'm fine. Just leave," I replied in a flat tone.

"Are you sure? You seemed to be struggling," he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, your brother’s girlfriend added glue to my chair, so now I'm stuck," I explained.

"You mean Jessica? She's not my brother's girlfriend," Kris clarified.

"I don't care either way, are you going to help me or not?" I asked.

Kris mouthed an "oh" before locking the door and leaving me alone. I was disappointed, a part of me had hoped he would help, but he simply walked away. I guess Lisa was wrong, he was exactly like his mean brothers.

I tried to call Lisa at, but her number kept going to voicemail. I was going to kill that bitch when I see her.

Kris returned after a while, holding a bottle of acetone. "Sorry I'm late, it was pretty hard to find," he apologised.

Kneeling near me, he carefully applied a small amount of acetone to the glued area. "This is going to take a while," he mentioned.

I don't know if it was because of the closeness or the way his blue eyes seemed to shine when he looked at me but I felt my cheek heating up.

"Okay," I murmured, feeling my blush intensify as I looked away from him.

After a while his mouth curled up into a small smile. “Done,”

I nodded, grateful for his help and silently acknowledging that maybe he wasn’t as bad as I thought.

I moved to leave, Kris reached out and held my hands, gently turning me to face him. I felt my heart pounding as I realised how flustered I was becoming.

“What?” I whispered, barely audible.

He carefully removed his jacket and placed it around my waist. “Your outfit is ruined. I would not want them to make fun of you when you go out,” he said, his voice soft and reassuring.

I stared at him in disbelief. “And why would you care?”

“I don’t,” he replied in a dry tone.

I mouthed an “Oh” in surprise. “Well, thanks,” I responded, attempting to maintain my composure.

“Take care of yourself, pumpkin,” he whispered near my ear, leaning in before flashing a wink.

I felt my heartbreak racing a thousand miles and I wondered if he was flirting with me or I was just being delusional.

The door opened wide again and this time revealed a group of students staring at us with shock and judgement.

One of the girls snapped, “Are you trying to seduce Kris, you bitch?”

I stumbled back pushing Kris away from me. “It’s not what you think?” I tried to explain before she lunged at me with full force.

  • THE TRIPLET ALPHAS’ HUMAN MATE    CHAPTER 63

DANTE’S POV.I woke up that morning feeling lighter than I had in years. For a few blissful seconds, I simply lay there staring at the ceiling, replaying the memory of Ava tangled in my arms, her soft voice whispering that she loved me.A stupid grin spread across my face as I turned toward her side of the bed, already reaching for her.But the space beside me was cold and empty.I frowned and pushed myself up onto one elbow, glancing around the cabin. “Ava?”No response.A knot formed in my stomach.Maybe she was embarrassed.Last night had changed something between us. Maybe this morning she didn’t know how to face me afterward.Hell, maybe she regretted it.The thought made my wolf recoil painfully.I rubbed a hand over my face and glanced at the clock. It was already late enough that she should have been back by now.I got out of bed and checked the bathroom first.Empty.“Ava?” I called again, my voice rough with sleep and growing unease.Silence...I searched the cabin anyway, o

WARNING: MATURE CONTENT.AVA’S POV. Night fell and contrary to what Dante thinks I had an amazing dinner with Piper and she wasn't scary at all. She was a regular visitor and came to this Village whenever life became stressful. Piper came with her boyfriend, both of them gym instructors, which explained their impressive physique. After a refreshing shower, I slipped into a pair of panties and a long t-shirt. As soon as I lay on my bed, an unexpected feeling of loneliness washed over me. Tonight, I longed for Dante’s presence by my side. He was already lying on the ground where he had been sleeping since our parrival, but tonight, I wanted him to be close to me.“Hey! Dante,” I murmured softly. Dante made an inaudible sound. “Are you still awake?” Dante turned toward me. “Yes, pumpkin. Missing me?” he asked with a smirk. I blushed but was thankful for the darkness, he could not see it. “Yeah…” I murmured shyly. “Do you want to join me in bed?” MYAaaar Dante raised his head slight

COLLIN’S POV“I’m telling you, that fish was this big,” I said dramatically, stretching my arms so wide that the old villager beside me burst into laughter.“You young men always exaggerate,” he replied.I placed a hand over my chest in mock offense. “Exaggerate? Sir, I am one of the most honest men you will ever meet.”The old man snorted. “That alone tells me you are lying.”I laughed, shaking my head before my attention drifted toward the path leading back from the forest. Dante and Ava were soaking wet. My eyes narrowed, they seemed to be spending way too much time together. Ava used to hate this guy, she practically embarrassed him in psychology class a week ago . It was all everyone talked about. It hurts that I wasn’t there to witness it. Now they were acting rather suspicious.Ava’s red curls clung to her shoulders while her white dress stuck to her skin from the water. Dante walked beside her looking far too calm for a man who clearly had been doing something he shouldn’t.

  • THE TRIPLET ALPHAS’ HUMAN MATE    CHAPTER 60

DANTE’S POVI watched Ava play in the lake, her red curls loose around her shoulders, blazing beneath the sunlight like living fire. The sight of her was almost unreal. She wore a white traditional gown gifted by one of the village women. The fabric clung softly to her figure, flowing around her like water itself. It looked as though it had been made solely for her, because no one else could have worn it with such effortless beauty. She spun through the shallow water, laughing softly to herself while the ends of her dress darkened from the lake, sticking delicately to her skin.“Come join me,” Ava called, turning toward me with a grin.I shook my head, leaning back against the rock behind me. “I’m fine here. I like watching you.”“Please, Dante,” she pleaded, pouting dramatically. “The water’s warm, and we could actually have fun together for once.”I huffed a quiet laugh. She knew exactly how to get what she wanted from me.With a reluctant sigh, I pushed myself off the ground and wa

(FLASHBACK: BEFORE THE TRIP)TIANA’S POV“Do you know why I chose you to be my son’s wife?” the Alpha asked, staring at me with an intense gaze.I nodded. “Because our family alliance would strengthen both packs and make us even more powerful,” I replied. He gave a slow nod. “That is part of the truth, but it is not the only reason I chose you for my son.” He leaned back against his chair. “I chose you because I knew you were exactly the kind of Luna my son needs. You understand the history of our people. You understand why certain traditions exist. And most importantly, you were born into the right kind of family, one that knows how to utilize power.”Silence settled between us for a moment.“How long have you known about the triplet mate?”I swallowed hard. “Since after the mating ball.”“Ah.” He leaned forward, folding his hands together on the table. “And yet you have done nothing about it. Aren’t you afraid she might sabotage your marriage?”I clenched my jaw. “She’s human. There

KRIS'S POVI hadn't slept a wink after learning that Ava and Dante never made it back to their cabin. The news had only gotten worse when someone reported that the horse they'd taken had returned without them.I spent most of the night staring at the ceiling, wondering if this was somehow part of Father's plan. Had he arranged for them to disappear? Was he punishing Ava?Every possibility that crossed my mind seemed worse than the last.By midnight, I'd tossed and turned so much that Tiana finally kicked me out of bed, complaining that I was ruining her beauty sleep. The moment the first light of dawn crept across the sky, I got dressed and headed outside. When I stepped into Collin's room, he was already awake. Clearly I wasn’t the only one unable to sleep. We were preparing to mount our horses and begin searching when a figure in the distance caught my eye.As they drew closer, my chest tightened. It was Dante carrying Ava on his back. Relief and irritation flood through me at once.
