Chapter Twenty-seven.

Diana's pov

I kept banging on the door and yelling his name until Daniel came up and stopped me, “Hey hey, calm down, Diana, calm down.”

I stopped banging on the door and calling out to the fortune teller.

“Why are you getting so worked up about it?" Daniel asked.

Honestly, Luke being restless just made me restless. I felt like there was some kind of meaning to what those cards depicted but why did he scare him so much?

“Uhmm, we paid for our futures to be read, at least he should finish his job,” I lied.

Normally I wouldn't be bothered about Luke's behavior, I never really believed whatever he did was real anyway, also I thought he was a scam, but ever since the strange occurrences in the palace, I've become a bit skeptical, and I couldn't tell Daniel about them.

Daniel laughed at my answer, “That's what this was about? C'mon now D, it's no biggie, I don't even believe in what he said anyway, it was just a way for us to pass the time,” he confessed.
