CHAPTER TWO

CARNELIAN'S POV

"Carnelian,where are you?"

I heard my mom as soon I as shifted back into my human form .

"Mom, I'm here",I answered as she moved towards me at the distant part of the garden which is not far from the house. The place was designed so as to run when you want your wolf out,so I always love this place since I love to be in my wolf form so much.

"Aren't you preparing for school, Carnelian?"

"I will,just wanna relax myself before heading out".

"As the future Alpha of this pack,I need you to be serious with everything, including your academics,so as not to portray an insolence attitude to your future pack member".

Oh no,here we go again with the pack and no pack duties.

"Why are you making it sound as if being great in academics is a pass for me to be the Alpha of the Gray Dawn Pack,and even if it a pass, I'm good infact excellent in my studies,so we got no problem",I said, slightly leaving my mum speechless but she is not the one to back down

"It is not a pass or neither it's a must,but I don't want people to have a reason for you not to be the Alpha of the pack as they have the power to dethrone their Alpha if he is not quiet good and up to their expectations,so you have to take all aspects of life serious ",she said

I know my mum to be a woman who never once care about what people say and I got that attitude from her. But the problem is when did she start to care. She has a valid reason though and I'm agreeing with her,but with me not backing down

We keep on arguing until we reach the house. I went inside my room and prepare for school before I receive another preaching about being serious with life. There are sometimes that I do think if we werewolves do really need education,it is not as if we are gonna use mathematics or statistics to run the pack.

After preparing,I texted my best friend, Taylor,which is also my beta to ask if he is ready and he said he is already in school. We don't use to see in school though because Chrysolite High School separated sciences from arts.

I went to the dining room where I met my dad, Alpha Jasper. I drank a cup of apple juice before heading out but not without my dad wishing me to have a great day. Should I make an introduction of myself or you already know who I am? Well,for the basics, I'm the only child and son of the Alpha and Luna of Gray Dawn Pack and as you know, I'm the future Alpha of the pack.

Entering my car,I drove to school and I checked the time on my wristwatch which says 8:52 am, which means that the first lecture will be ended soon since Chrysolite High School start lecture immediately it 8:00

I make my way to my class and I open the door, immediately I stepped my foot into the class,a scent of the mixture of chocolate and rose hits me. I lift my eyes and I saw a pair of brown eyes staring at me.

"MATE",I said.

So short right,I know. Carnelian is such a boring nigga without no story or did he decide not to tell us about himself
