Four years ago, my mate-bond was shattered. Cast out of the Okoye Bloodline, stripped of my titles, and left to rot in the dangerous lower slums, I survived for one reason only: my twin alpha heirs. To protect them from the ruthless werewolf mafia world, I became a master of underground silver needle neural healing, hiding my lineage behind a wall of cold indifference. Then, my work brings me straight into the jaws of the beast—the inner sanctum of the terrifying Adebayo Dominion. Kael Adebayo is the supreme commander of the northern sector mafia, a dark, lethal alpha whose wolf was brutally crippled in a silver-poisoned ambush. He is arrogant, suffocatingly powerful, and completely closed off from the pack. He doesn’t trust anyone, least of all a mysterious rogue clinic worker from the outer wastes. But the moment my silver needles pierce his neural lines, our scents collide, igniting a dangerous, possessive tension that threatens to expose every secret I harbor. To make matters worse, my treacherous family’s territory debt has collapsed. Desperate to save themselves after my spoiled sister fled her arranged marriage covenant with Kael, my stepmother is ready to throw me into his bed as a replacement bride. Now, trapped between my toxic ex-husband’s lethal threats, a scheming family willing to sell me out, and the dangerous magnetic pull of a dominant boss who demands absolute submission, I have to play a high-stakes game. Kael thinks I’m just a clever stray aiming for his sheets, but he has no idea that the twin pups hidden in my slum apartment carry his very own supreme alpha blood.

Chapter 1

C1

Zaria Okoye POV

“I am not killing my pups, Kofi,” I snarled, fingernails digging into my palms until blood welled up. The metallic scent filled the master bedroom of the Mensah Clan Trading House. “They are seven months old. Their hearts are beating strong. You forced me into that clinic for the artificial insemination in the first place!”

“They aren’t mine, Zaria, and I won’t let some random rogue’s bloodline inherit my place in the Mensah Clan,” Kofi spat. His weak yellow eyes struggled to hold beta authority while my pregnant belly radiated fear and distress. “The clan healers say my wolf can be cured of its infertility. We’re dumping these bastards before they drain our territory resources.”

“You told me it didn’t matter!” I screamed, clutching my heavy stomach as the twin alpha heirs kicked hard against my ribs, as if they could hear the monster threatening them. “You dated me for two years! You swore the pack bond was everything! We used an anonymous donor because your wolf couldn’t sire an heir!”

“Things change,” he growled, stepping back and baring his teeth. “I want my own blood in the Adebayo Dominion markets, not a pair of mutts. Either you get rid of them by tomorrow morning, or you sign the papers and get out of my sight forever.”

“Then we are done,” I whispered, pain slicing through my chest like silver. “Because I will die before I let you touch them.”

The man I had protected for three years of marriage was nothing but a coward.

“Fine!” Kofi roared, slamming the heavy wooden door so hard the glass rattled. He locked me out in the cold hallway like discarded trash.

“Zaria, what is this nonsense my son is howling about?” Fiona Blackwell’s shrill voice pierced through the pack link. “He says you’re carrying bastards and refusing to purge them from our family tree.”

“Ask your son what he did, Fiona,” I choked out, tears spilling as I leaned against the stone wall. “He wanted this. He signed the covenant laws for the clinic. Now he’s throwing me out like a broken omega.”

“Do not use that tone with me, you shameless bitch!” Fiona snarled viciously. “If those pups don’t carry Mensah blood, you’ve been rolling in the dirt with every stray rogue. I will see you stripped of your title before the High Alpha Council!”

“That’s a lie and you know it!” I screamed.

The line went dead.

A massive contraction hit me like lightning. I dropped to my knees, gasping.

“Look at the disgrace you brought to the Okoye Bloodline, Zaria.”

I forced my heavy eyelids open. Sterile white ceiling. Pack clinic. My father, Obasi Okoye, stood over my cot with arms crossed, his alpha aura suffocating the small room.

“Dad…” I sobbed, reaching for him. My body ached. My belly felt terrifyingly empty. The heavy weight of my twins was gone. “Where are my babies? Where are my boys?”

“The Mensah Clan is outside demanding a full blood-purity tribunal,” Obasi said coldly, face like stone. “The whole territory is talking about our shame. Tell me the name of the alpha who sired them right now, or I will cast you out of the Okoye Moon Lodge myself.”

I stared at him in horror, the dull throbbing emptiness in my womb confirming my worst fear.

They had taken my babies.

And no one—not my husband, not my mother-in-law, not even my own father—cared if they were alive.

A broken, furious growl tore from my throat as something primal awakened deep inside me.

I would find my sons.

I would make every single one of them pay.

Even if it meant burning the entire Mensah and Okoye empires to the ground.
