My eyes that were closed in pleasure flew open in horror at the sound of Dustin’s voice, and his approaching footsteps. I reacted before my brain could catch up and pushed Chase of me. The night soon turned into a bloody nightmare with my people fighting very hard to survive. Our dead littered the floor of the ballroom like rubbish on the streets yet more rogues kept coming.
